Hope this helps but when I ordered my touchpads from HP and Bestbuy they were all about 3.8 Lbs shipping weight.

throw in a few items into the box and perhaps those in the 4+ lb range may be receiving something nice

However, it's still *my* carp so I will love it no matter how undernourished it appears. Perhaps it will gain weight along the journey.
