My reference number worked before but doesn't any more. The tracking number, however, does still work. Fedex still lists the reference number on the status page

No change. 1 pound place holder and anticipated ship date of today.

I'm a network administrator and I'm responsible for filling the glass back up after the users tip it over and spill half of it out. I've told them a hundred times how to use the glass but they always think they have a better way.

First allow me to apologize for the unacceptable delay in posting. Its difficult giving my primary goal of zombie monkey mastery priority when such mundanities as bills and a job that generates an actual paycheck so intrude.

Also please excuse the low quality imagery.

The transport containment unit from TPW arrived late last week. It was carefully opened to reveal a compressed form along with reams of documentation.

Before unpacking further we had to be sure the future plague vectors were carefully restrained. Wouldn't do to have them trying to escape.

The documentation included was impressive. It will be carefully preserved.

The notice about inconvenience, it turns out, was prescient.

The Zombie-Like Monkey was extracted from its transport containment.

The zombie-like face of death and Woot!pocalypse was truly frightening to behold.

However it soon became clear that this zombie-like creation was in fact inactive, its viral payload nonviable. Also silent... no moaning. I believe these conditions were made necessary to allow the subject to fit in the transport containment. Internal integuments removed (Mmmm... monkey-gut stew!)

This information quickly spread to the victim monkeys. The first one was like "Huh!"

And the second was... jeez, it was smirking! What impertinence!

The rest quickly fell into expressions quite unlike the unabashed fear I had expected from TPW's gift.

This would not do. Time to transfer the Zombie Like Monkey to the development containment unit

I mentioned inconvenience? I was not prepared to provide a reanimation sequence. The power requirements alone are stupendous! Nonetheless an attempt was made using house power.

Unfortunately close examination revealed no change in the ZLM's status.

The titters of laughter (well, actually raucous shrieks from the victims gallery were most disheartening. It is well their arms were restrained else I fear feces would have been flung. The ZLM was left in containment, under guard of the one truly loyal monkey servant.

Now TPW... I do appreciate this. I really do. However I think the level of inconvenience is going to make reanimation of the ZLM and its viral package a huge task. Do you know how much paperwork its going to take to get HOA approval for multiple lightning rods? Stave off the FCC when they try to shut down the massive electronic interference of the Jacobs Ladders and spark arrestors? Not to mention the insane cost of the large gauge copper cables that will be needed to transfer power from the apparatus to the ZLM-contact elctrodes!

Sadly, I suspect there will not be a Zombie Monkey Woot!pocalypse this year, at least not one originating from my humble lab and abode. We must continue to count on you, with your much larger and more complete resources.

I shall not give up however. Someday... someday I will succeed in reawakening the ZLM. Think on this and be dismayed!

Look upon my Avatar, ye whiny, and despair!

I've never seen a nicer flying zombie monkey in my life. (I can say that honestly!)

I really hope you can reanimate it enough to scream "Braaiiiiiiiiiiiiiins" when it is flung (flinged?) toward mortal flying monkeys.

I happen to work in a state lab in ... well, let's just say it isn't CERN ... I may have access to the kind of power you need. And of course if we can't shock him to life we could always go in the other direction and try liquid nitrogen to ... well, just because liquid nitrogen is fun.

Pro Tip:

Once you get your tracking number, download the Parcels app

If you have an android phone (As I do)
Download the Parcels APP here: https://market.android.com/details?id=eu.zomtec.android.delivery&hl=en

For iOS Peeps:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/parcel/id375589283?mt=8

You can track your package to your complete joy anytime you want without having to boot up the big ol computer.

By my experience getting the information early has no effect on when your Bundle of Crops arrives. I'll just wait for the woot email with the tracking number and then track it the usual way.

Good luck to everyone, and grats on the zombie monkey score duodec! That is AWESOME, and should definitely encourage people to post more in the forums (myself included). Woot just got some bonus points!

We are all as green with envy (as green as your zombie monkey), not only for the zombie but also for a letter from TPW. In addition, however, I am also jealous that you have been able to train your (loyal) monkey servant to stand on its own. Impressive! The best I have been able to do with my vast training and frequent threats has been to get my cadre of simians to sit up straight (of course, leaning against one or more of their chums). Very well done!

... hey wait, is that really a GI Joe toy in a monkey suit?

=====

As it happens, certain Monkeys are amenable to learning the discipline of steel. More specifically... a certain amount of flexible stove wire, carefully applied, can lend skeletal structure to the formerly boneless. I suppose with adequate care it could even form an internal skeleton.

Hmmm.... also prescient. I had an actual first stage Franken-monkey without realizing it. He thought he wanted to be a super hero, shrieking "Tail High, Brothers!" as he arced through the sky.

Now he guards lab experiments. Such is life.

Look upon my Avatar, ye whiny, and despair!

Well FedEx has the tracking information for my order now.

Just place holders, hopefully they get the packages in their system soon.
