I need a blender. Our cheap one just died a few weeks ago. Sadly we're broke, so I'm really just torturing myself looking at a woot off when I can't actually afford to buy anything.

This isn't a deal at all. You can get the entire set brand new for $100. That's the blender, BOTH pitchers, BOTH sets of blades, the dough stand and all the other accessories.

But in all fairness this would be the only way to get just the large pitcher and blender unless you want to buy the OLD version of the blender....oh wait...this IS THE OLD version of the blender. Strike two!

Just got in before the bar vanished. I really wanted to get one of these for my wife, seeing that the kids have become smoothie addicts. Stoked!

I have this blender but I'm a sucker and bought it at full retail like 6 months ago. this blender rocks. the pitcher is polycarbonate I believe and doesn't have a silly removable base like most blenders with a crappy gasket that leaks in a year or two. has a safety so the lid has to be on in order for it to work (that way this little ninja cant steal your fingertips) motor is plenty strong for frozen fruits and ice for margaritas, smoothies whatever. blades come out easy and the shaft theyre on is very durable.

Well I just got mine today...and what a PIECE OF S*H*I*T!!!!!!! I realize it's a refurb, but come on, this thing looks like someone tried to turn gravel into sand with it. The plastic is cracked and chipped all to hell. The blades are dull and the teeth that fit into the chopper blade assembly are worn to it does not seat properly.
Now to begin the battle with woot returns. I am sure they will be as responsive and helpful as they usually are (NOT)

I also ordered one and tried it out this morning. Mine was aesthetically fine, and the blades sharp, but the blades simply don't turn when there's anything in the pitcher. Manufacturer's return policy is "return at your cost, include $19.95 for return shipping." This turns an OK deal on a blender into a decidedly more crappy one.

That's ridiculous. If it really costs $20 to ship each way, it's costing you as much for the return as you paid for the item in the first place. Horrible. Can Woot at least refund the cost of your item? Or maybe you have some recourse through your credit card company?

I received mine on Wednesday, and am happy to report that I have not had any serious issues. The pitcher was kind of scuffed up in a few places, but these are cosmetic issues. There was a sticker on it that said it had been sanitized, and indeed it did seem perfectly clean (and believe me, we inspected it under bright light to make sure those were scuffs and not leftovers).

The blender works fine. I'm not yet convinced that it's all that much better than my old blender for making smoothies, which was my primary purpose in buying it. It's definitely effective, though, and nice and easy to clean and operate.

If I were a frozen beverage fan, I think it would be a major score. I saw a number of people's videos on YouTube that showed them crushing ice into a fine, snow-like texture, and I can just imagine how nice that would be as a "frozen concoction that helps me hang on". But given that I don't visit Margaritaville all that often (and never the frozen ones), I'm not convinced it's a keeper. It may be headed for eBay soon.

I got this, and have been using it for protein shakes; it doesn't dice ice as well as I expected, and my powder still gets stuck to the sides, but it's still an excellent blender for under 50$
