Premium maps doesn't really mean anything. TomTom has some maps available for purchase, for other regions, that are more generalized and don't include smaller roads, but their maps of the US and Canada are complete; they call this "Premium", but they're just regular maps, same as you'd get in any name-brand GPS device.

9/9/11 was my last notification. Yeah, they notify you automatically when an update is available, after your first update.
Prior to that, the last update was 5/28/11.

Unfortunately no, it can't do that. Very few GPS devices can do that. You can find individual destinations with Google Maps and download them as individual items that get added to your address book, but you can't download a route.

I wonder if the "Sold Out" takes all the cancellations into account.

Is the TM feature just for live updates when not plugged into the computer?
Traffic updates are wireless, though they require plugging in via a power adapter which act as an antenna.
Map updates can not be done wirelessly, even with the TM version. They require downloading via a PC. That's not free with this model.

This is the email I got after I canceled:
==============
Cancelled and refunded
Bob

While the email does the job it's supposed to do, it does come across rather cold, unprofessional, and unpolished.
I actually like it better this way: to the point without the usual faux corporate niceties. It actually seems more personal like this, evidence there's an actual person talking to me rather than an automatic canned response from some database of pre-recorded responses.
