ALL of them ! most of these "deals" sites (woot; sd ; dealnews) are just free info sources for the resellers....they make reselling their full-time job, so on a good deal they buy out entire lots as soon as it opens... the system is now pretty broken, entirely due to the resellers...sad..

I ordered in early morning too, but all will ship together, you'll have to be patient.

First droid-vice? first for me too.
I have so many plans for it.
See if I can use it to control media in my computer through wifi.
See what video formats can support, it would be awesome if I ever manage to play my MKVs in it.
I'm pretty much set on internet, because my optimum WIFI ID and password work on Time Warner Cable wifi as well (don't know nor care why).

My nerd side is very exited.

I had my eye on Lenovo and also the Amazon tablets, neither of which is out yet. I want something to fit in a purse. 7" might be a little big-ish. Though a 7" can be held in one hand unlike a 10", it looks like that size would make your one hand get tired after awhile. This size is a bit bigger than a smartphone, so it will be a little easier to see, but not as easy to see as a 7". That's my one hesitation, that I won't be happy with the small-ness. Well, I guess I'll find out. I don't have a smart phone and don't want to pay for a data plan. I'd like a portable wi-fi device with GPS capability. I'll see how this works out. If not, I can get at least something back for it on EBay, hopefully.

That's what she said.

Yup, it's my first Android device. Very excited. I went to my local Office Depot and tried some Android tablets. They were pretty cool and fast. They did not have problem rendering my web site, so I am happy about that. I have an iPad 2 at home as well as iPod Touch 4th Gen, and both of which tell a different story. The web pages rending on these two device are slow and sometime even hang. I guess it's because I overdone with CSS text shadowing. Probably need to tone done a bit.

I am glad you are too excited about this awesome 5" device. That is huge as compared to iPod Touch 4th Gen which is only 3.5". Beside learning the ins and outs of Android OS, the only plan I have for this device is to write a simple Android app and install on it. I am new to Android development, so this is a good entry device.

I am also new to Woot. As a matter of fact, this is my very first purchase with them. I understand that they will ship the device within 5 business days. So yes, I need to take that "patient" pill. LOL.

Take care.

I did the same, I am showing that it arrived and departed Texas today and is on track for delivery in South Carolina on Sept. 28. Normally I get my Smartpost deliveries 1-2 days earlier than the time they give, so I am hoping it will be here Monday or Tuesday next week.

I am curious how do you know that Woot ship via FedEx?

We shall all see who has the Fastest Delivery in their area! I'm in the middle of nowhere, AZ...and it is giving me the 26th.

Ironically, I can get things from China in 2 days, with free shipping! Those clever and hard working Chinese!

Still...also can not wait for my new toy!

Should we all come back here and Discuss it, once we do get them, and have a chance to play?! Or is that Not allowed on woot, with all of their little rules?!

Has anyone figured out if this has a video out like the Galaxy S cell phone? I'm hoping it'll work with the Pico projector.

Sweet. Never tried track by reference before. Mine is in Dallas on it's way. Estimated to arrive in Utah on the 27th.

In my experience, I have often received my item from woot before I ever get an email telling me that it has shipped. This takes away some of that surprise, but not all spoilers are bad.

Go to Fedex track by ref. Enter order Woot # in large box Select, country and zip code. That should do it.

Smart post is an unspeakable hybrid of FedEx and USPS. FedEx caries it must of the way until your local Post office finishes the job. You will be able to track it at both FedEx and USPS
with the same tracking# at some point.

When the FedEx page says is "delivered", it means that it was delivered to the Post office in you area. What gets me nervous is when the P.O. Screws up and marks your Item as "delivered", but It has not made it to your house yet. Gets me all paranoid thinking that things got stolen from my front door.

Track by Reference should work IF we have shipped the item AND FedEx has gotten your order into their system...

You can use FedEx's “Track by Reference” feature to get tracking info using your order number. Your order number is on your receipt which you can get via My Account. Leave the Account Number blank. Enter your order number in the reference box. Next, select your country and enter your zip code. Click TRACK and voilà, you may have tracking info.

Note that a Woot staff person will post a SHIPPING UPDATE in this thread when ALL orders have left our warehouse.

@omh1009

Thanks for your explanation FedEx/USPS workflow. I did not know that there is a link between these two entities when it comes to delivery packages. Shoot, I did not know that you can track by reference either.

As for VLC, I heard of them. I have not tried it. I am pretty sure it is an excellent media player. I am not into media player development, just web/content and soon android/content. So, it is out of my area of development. Thanks for the suggestion though. By the way, on their site and the page for Android/VLC, they have Linux desktop screenshots. What happen to screenshots on Android devices? Thought that was strange.

I guess everyone who bought this device is more than excited to play with it.

Since Palm is effectively dead in the PDA arena we've been waiting for these devices (or something similar) for quite a while. I ordered 3 of them assuming that that was the maximum order size. By the time my coworkers got around to whipping their credit cards out the Woot was over and done with.

I'll come back and post reviews on how these do as a palm replacement. I've more or less proven out the concept by loading up my phone with productivity software but we're not allowed to carry phones at work.

New to the Woot scene, is three really the maximum order size or did I misunderstand? We needed more like ten of these.
