I think I've seen it in one or two other places as well. Course until they actually get it in stock it means squat.

The second language on the instruction manual reads

guia de inicio rapido

First language English, Second Language Spanish - could be NA model. Though Philippines is also a good possibility. I think it has been released there and those two languages are both widely used there. Maybe they didn't bother translating into Filipino.

Keep us posted. In particular, I'm interested in whether there is any indication as to if this is a European model. I'm really wondering which national market these were designed for before Woot managed to snag them, as it is not yet officially released in USA.

fyi my tracking info said it wasnt coming unitl saturday. I actually got the email from woot 30 minutes after I got the unit.

The unit left dallas tuesday and went to houston. left houston last night at 8:21 I tracked it this morning via the reference number. 20 minutes later my mail man brought it in. I usually give him a christmas present so maybe he grabbed it on the way out for me.. haha. I really didnt expect it to come until tommorow.

If the EU is the European Union model, what model is LTN? Latin America?

I've used a combination of Google Voice and Sipdroid on my Archos 70 before and it worked, but the 70 was just to big to use as a wifi phone so I uninstalled the stuff. I followed some directions on Archosfans.com to set it up but can't remember the steps. I'll be looking up the instructions when my Sammy gets here and I'll set it up on there. Should work nicely on that.

Don't suppose anyone has found a case like the one in these official images?

http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxyswifi/gs5/images/gallery/img_gallery_5_3.jpg

http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxyswifi/gs5/images/gallery/img_gallery_5_2.jpg

Got this largely for my commute, but I'd rather not have to stick it in a pocket. That kind of case would let me just slip it in my bag without worry.

Didn't receive mine yet but had a a30% coupon good for one day only on Square Trade so bought the warranty. The total was $32.89 for three years which included the additional ADH for drop or spill coverage. I emailed and asked which category to put it in and they told me mp3...they are also holding off on the activation till I receive it..they're a great company. Oh, and the code for a 20% discount good till Oct 3 is FALL....

I've been researching browsing on Android and found an app called Dolphin Browser which supposedly allows you to load pages in the non-mobile versions.

Square Trade warranty cost varies GREATLY depending upon what you enter as purchase price:
$500 purchase price (Value) = $89 warranty cost
$175 purchase price (Woot) = $29 warranty cost

If your unit needs repairs, well that is what warranty is for. If it needs replacement (totalled?) do they limit you to your cost, or to unit replacement value?

Never mind: found it on Square Trade page ==>

Coverage Amount
For replacement payments: You are covered up to the maximum value you paid for the item. Once we pay out that amount, your Care Plan is considered fulfilled. If you would like coverage on your new item, you need to purchase a new warranty for it.

For Repairs: The Care Plan is good for multiple repairs, up to the maximum value of your item. Once the cost of repairs meets the full purchase price of the item, your Care Plan is considered fulfilled.

Well, it comes with the one year woot warranty. The squaretrade one, find the blog post for the item, that post still has link to the squaretrade warranty already all set up and everything. Make sure you grab one of the 20% off codes on offer above- FALL worked for me.

They did, but neither is called the "gTablet." They have other names.
Like most companies, Viewsonic makes more than one product.

Looking forward to seeing this when it arrives. Problem with Android is that there always seems to be something else to wait for - new version of the OS, the next Tegra chipset... I've been meaning to get something for about 18 months yet, but just haven't been able to drop a few hundred bucks on another tablet when I already have an iPad 2.

The GPS is crap. If you find out how to make it connect please post it. I was able to get it to connect one time and DL a simple route. There is an app with some GPS tools that include a working compass and a satellite locator that works very well also. but it seemed to depend on wifi to download the route. No route profile, you go where it tells you to, i.e. it picked back roads instead of interstate. I didn't use it so it will take more research to see if it will re-calculate itself. The auto flash on the camera puts out too much light and pics come out better with no flash in low light. Something else to experiment with. I'm just pointing that out, not knocking it. I hope to get the GPS figured out so that it is usable. I'm sure I'll have more rants but overall I am very happy with the device thus far.

Regarding browsers: I guess I should not assume this, but wouldn't every Android device include the Google Chrome browser as part of the OS? If not, can't that be installed easily? Stock or non-stock, is Chrome less than an ideal browser on these devices? I hear it is taking "market" share away from Firefox, so it must be at least reasonably decent.
