Does anyone actually think the economy is better now than under the bumbling care of GW Bush? Clearly it is not. Just as clear should be the fact that the more government has encroached on the economy, the worse it has become.
If you think government is the answer, and things are only bad because we haven't gone far enough down this road, then you should vote for Obama. Of course, you should also study more about the economies of the USSR, Cuba, China, and Israel.
If you realize that the government (and every corporation) is just made up of people, then you must concede that a small group of people making everyone's decisions is never going to be as effective as a large group of people making their decisions for themselves. In that case, you must decide which candidate will be the most likely to restore to you your inalienable rights to determine for yourself how to live your life.
Consider whether you will have more freedom of choice in the matters of how you earn a living, how you will make medical decisions, what you will eat, and what you will be allowed to buy. One side has perverted the concept of choice to claim that only the rich were able to make these decisions because they had the money to do so. In fact, while the richer did have more options, the poorer also had more options than they would have under a 'one size fits all' system. While one person may have the means to buy everything at the grocery store, I still have many more options for spending my $100 in a capitalist grocery store than in a totalitarian or socialist market.
Some politicians have pushed (and continue to push) for limits on what can be done on the internet. It would be sad to see regulation limit the opportunities that have allowed companies like WOOT! to flourish. Could any government entity ever produce the humor, innovation, ingenuity, or level of service that we have enjoyed from WOOT!? Be honest.
