Just to let everybody know, I received my glow sticks today.

I have no idea why it took 7 days (5 business days) to reach my house from a FedEx hub that was no more than 20 miles away. Maybe it temporarily went to the wrong post office, maybe it was "missing" in a FedEx truck. It doesn't matter now because I received my package.


However, I wish there was an ability to know the shipment method Woot! was planning on choosing BEFORE making a purchase. I suspect the reason why they don't tell you is because it's negotiated after all the purchases are made.

Why did I buy 72 glowsticks on Woot, again?

I really must lay off the whatever it is I don't remember doing.

Well, I got mine two days ago, on the 19th, when my Fedex delivery estimate was on the 20th. YAY FOR A HAPPY DELIVERY! Heck, I even got my wifi-adapter a day early as well, which was the next day's deal. Said the 21st, got it the 20th. I'm happy with my shipping.

Still haven't received my order.

No updates since then. Has Fed-Ex picked up all the packages from woot?

Through the first box already. I think the crunch of the glass tube inside is way more satisfying than the resulting glow.

10-23 and they have not shipped yet? Will I get them in time for h-ween?

Still have not received! Fedex says shipped on the 9th, then updated on the 15th at some hub in San Francisco? It is now the 26th.

Well! That's all 72 glow sticks handed out to trick or treaters! Blimey!

The glow sticks were a huge success here. Woot, please do something like this again next year.

I NEVER got mine - filed a claim with paypal last Friday - NO RESPONSE! I'm peeved. These were supposed to be for Halloween. My first woot, and very possibly my last...

Got these to hand out to trick-or-treaters, but then had a crazy snowstorm come through CT leaving the town without power... (half the town is still waiting) ... and end result - I guess that no kids want to go trick-or-treating on a dark street. I got to use a bunch of them though for the house.. they last a couple of days too.

These were a huge success in my neighborhood. Great woot! I handed out about 50 or so and then the kids had way too much fun with the rest. And I still saved money on Halloween candy. I am sure I would have spent $20 on bagged candy. This will go down as one of my favorite woots!

For the first Halloween in 20 years, we were the "cool house" - the one that you heard kids saying out in the street "where did you get the glow sticks?" Between these and the glow bracelets from amazon that were suggested way earlier in the thread, Halloween was a big success. Thanks, woot!

These things are great entertainment for kids! I wish I had bought more.

I bought 3 for Halloween not knowing if my new neighborhood would be a busy one or not. Sadly we only had one group of about 7 kids, but as the door was opened, one kid said "I hope you have some good candy" and my fiancee (who doubted my intelligence for choosing this as our giveaway) told them how sorry he was that we didn't have any candy, but we did have glow sticks. All of the kids started cheering at their good fortune to have ventured down our road when no one else did.

Thanks Woot for a great idea!!! Sadly I have plenty for next year so I won't be buying them again until 2013.

Used these on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Worked Better than Mardi Gras Beads.
