been waiting for this. i saw it and i "flipped" out."

Even though the company is dead we'll never escape their products!

My Flip Mini has great resolution, but can only 'film' for about 15 minutes before the battery runs down. Any idea how long the battery lasts in this one?

No to buying this last week...And it's still a NO.
1. no cable = break the hard usb connector
2. no Cisco support
3. no still photos (except xtracting from video)

Same price as when they were on Woot five days ago. Glad they didn't drop in price, because I bought two at that time for my nephews.

Missed it the last time Woot sold thousands of them,got it this time.

Whoa! Woot had this the other day and I missed it now, WOO HOO!, I got one!

I wooted this one last week. I must say I am REALLY irked that Woot takes SO LONG to ship anything out anymore: I've never even received any notice that last week's Woot has shipped, so I assume it hasn't. It feels like the 1970s as far as speedy shipping is concerned!

Can anyone tell me if this has decent audio?

I've seen a few places say the miniHD should get about two hours of usage before needing to be charged. It says the same thing about the normal flip mini, so maybe you have a bad battery?

I bought this five days ago, and I if I had any more spending money I would buy another one or two as a gifts (or for an HD 3D camera). Alas, my paycheck, it has not yet been received.

I got one of these in a Box of Cobwebs non-functioning ... Registered it, returned under warranty, got a refurb back ... My daughter used it until she got an iPhone, which has good video quality and is easier to upload and share vids and pictures.

I will say, it take nice videos, good quality, and the refurb'd unit has never given me trouble ...

When will mine ship? I ordered it on the 7th of this month...

I think the battery isn't the main limiting factor so much as the limited internal storage, which is supposed to last 1 hour at 720p (60fps). 2 hours isn't unreasonable given this recording time.

I don't have any direct experience, but I remember from the original Woot last week that at least one Wooter commented on the suprisingly good audio - check last week's archives if you don't get a response here.

This is the tradeoff for flat rate shipping that it takes a bit longer. This is not RETAIL and you are not paying what you would for that.

Don't necessarily judge that it hasn't been shipped by the lack of notification however. I have received items from Woot a couple of times that have arrived before the notification was received (there, I must admit, that something seems to be "broken").

1970s shipping? I'll take it as long as I continue to pay what amounts to 1970s dollars when you figure how much you save.

I'd love to review this, but the one I bought from Woot a week ago hasn't even shipped yet. At this point, I am not optimistic about it showing up in time for my vacation next weekend.

Yeah, Woot has never been a company to ship anything out quickly, but lately it has been even worse. It used to be around 3 days for them to ship and then the incessant crawl of Smartpost. Now it around five days before anything even ships out.

I have no problem with them using Smartpost to keep the shipping at $5. It is pretty ridiculous for them to take five days to even get it going though.

Ya'll be happy to know that BB sold the 8gb for $50 just this week. Oh yeah!!! The macho man randy savage digs it!

when it says "no additional memory needed" it should say "no additional memory possible". not expandable in other words. kind of assumes you're never more than an hour from your laptop., still for the price...not bad. anyone know how long the batteries Really last as in how quickly they start to drop off after several rechargings?

I have a previous generation of the MinoHD and it does have surpisingly good audio - I've used it in crowd situations and in large rooms, and if the person running the camera can hear the audio clearly, the camera will record it clearly.

I'm considering getting a second (or third) as backups.

Wow these are still around?

I have used a previous generation of the Mino HD and what impresses me the most is the ridiculously long stand-by battery life. Seriously, it is ready for at least a short clip even after months of idle.

Getting one today -- maybe my daughter will get it and maybe she'll get my current one. Either way, it will be worth knowing that her fingerprints won't be smudging my lens.
