Did anybody else have the weight of their order change? Mines was originally 7.7 pounds when it was still in Texas, and it's showing 2.4 pounds now that the package is at a different location. 5+ pounds seems like a pretty big margin of error for a 2.4 pound package.
Well, my crap got updated from a 5 lb bundle of joy to a 1.5 lb bundle of joy overnight. Went from my heaviest to my lightest bucket of candycorn. Still due on 10/26 though. And I was really hoping for a footflush...

Where did yours check in and lose weight? Mine hasn't changed even though it passed through both Kansas City & Edison, NJ.
Mine went from 5 lb to 1.5 lb when it checked in at the Atlanta facility on it's way to Florida.
yrguide wrote:Where did yours check in and lose weight? Mine hasn't changed even though it passed through both Kansas City & Edison, NJ.
Mines changed after arriving at the Martinsburg, West Virginia facility.
Got mine yesterday! 2.1 lbs: 6x bags of TX air 3x Breo skin watch 20cm white 1 pr Jimi Hendrix ear buds 1 USB lighted mirror 1 Thermos Rojo stainless steel water bottle 1 tote bag (yellow-orange w/ pink daisy)
JENN1098 wrote:Mine went from 5 lb to 1.5 lb when it checked in at the Atlanta facility on it's way to Florida.
So far mine has stayed the same weight (4.2 lbs.) while enroute to FL. Also checked in to the ATL, we'll see what happens when it checks out.
Noooo! My shipment just got to FedEx in New Berlin and went from 9 pounds down to 1.7 pounds. I am disappoint.
tugnutt831 wrote:Got mine today! Here's what it had: 1 Baywatch Barbie Backpack 1 Dream Cheeky USB Lighted Mirror 1 Melissa & Doug Princess Marionette 1 Thames and Kosmos animals beginner experiment kit 2 Purple Breo Skin Watches 1 Footflush, Classic version Seems like pretty standard crap for the Box of Cobwebs#39;s as of late. For all the kid stuff that seems to show up, maybe Woot should offer a Box of Cobwebs on kids.woot? As a side note, if anyone gets the prince or the horse marionette and would want to trade, let me know.
I got the exact same thing, except green watches
Well, this is depressing. Mine left Texas weighing 4 pounds. It just arrived in Wisconsin weighing a slight 1.7 pounds. My only hope is that by the time it makes it to Indiana, it'll weigh whatever a letter weighs. It's my first Box of Cobwebs and so I don't expect much. And perhaps all of us who used the backdoor method are going to be particularly underwhelmed this time around. ;-)

I wonder if yesterday's excessively long (and unusual) server upgrade will 1) close that back door and 2) deal with the DOS-like shutdown of the servers at the advent of the Box of Cobwebs
Someone posted this on http://www.bagsofcrap.com/boc_items/ IS THIS TRUE? Holy smokes. CrapBagger 10-12-2011 $367.86 Texas Air $0.01 QTY 25 Used Chapstick $0.15 QTY 13 Motorola Xoom 32GB Refurb $359.00 QTY 1 Live Bunny with ID Tag "Fluffers $6.66 QTY 1
AND my Box of Cobwebs is still weighing 1 lb. Come on something great! I am stoked.

Considering the accompanying items are 13 sticks of used chapstick and a LIVE bunny... I'm going with no. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go check on Fluffers.
Mine went from 3,8 lbs lb to 2,6 lbs when it checked in at the Atlanta facility on it's way to Florida.
So far both of mine have kept their weight. They checked into Atlanta today.. Hopefully they leave the same.. If not.. we may need to start suspecting those Atlanta employees!

Well, I just tried to buy today's woot! (fire extinguishers) from wine.woot using the same method... and it didn't work. So you may be on to something. EDIT: On second attempt, it DID work. So never mind. Looks like we've still got a chance. But that doesn't rule out the backdoor-wooters-get-the-crappiest-crap theory, though. We should run a comparison once all Box of Cobwebs are home.

Haha, didn't see that at first. Carry on.
Received my shipping email. FedEx says the box weighs in at 13.7 lbs. woo hoo!
My package arrived in Wisconsin at 9.7lbs, and left early this morning still 9.7lbs. Hope to get it before the scheduled date (27th).
10/24/2011 Day 12 Dear Journal, Well, it appears my hopes from my last entry have been dashed. Three days later and I'm still stuck in this weightless, dimensionless limbo. It's been about a day since I've seen anyone else here with me. But you know what they say... Patience is a virtue. Early wooter gets the bag. All that has a yellow question mark is not gold. But most importantly: Good things come to those who wait. Right? RIGHT? RIGHT? AAARRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!! We shall see.
So mine still says 1 lbs, that it departed Hutchins, TX on 10/21 and it's due for delivery on the 25th. No dimensions, no tracking updates, and no updates to the weight. What do you think is going on with my first ever bag o' crap? Edit: Oh, the package is coming to Upstate, NY...
In FedEx, it's still showing: Anticipated ship date: Oct 18, 2011 Weight: 1.0 lbs/.5 kg Still in the Initiated Phase of the shipment. Been like that since last week.....
For the people who are getting all the kids stuff. Did you use the kids.woot.com trick? Do they keep track of how you got your Bucket of Candycorn?

Ha! That's an interesting hypothesis. I hope you're right because I went through wine.woot! Haha.
jjmerg wrote:Coming from TX: 1 lbs / 0,5 kgs 16.5 in. x 13 in. x 10.8 in. Arrived at FedEx location; GROVE CITY, OH On it's way to me in Buffalo, NY. Tracking still says 1 lb. Is this ever going to change or is it actually 1 lb??
Mine is in Grove City, too. Luckily it just left and only has a 20 minute drive to get to me :D
I didn't check earlier but mine is now 1.6lbs Meh, its going to be a bunch of crap again.
My order weight changed Originally 5.3lbs now down to a measly 2.6lbs in New Berlin I'm thinking that the weigh machines in TX are wrong.. no wonder texans say it's always bigger in texas.. well no kidding if you have faulty machinery
Well, mine came in. About about $70 worth I'm crap, thanks Woot. Now, to assign these as Christmas gifts. ;) 1x GYRO Air-X 3.5CH Tilt Remote Electric RTF Remote Control RC Helicopter 2x Breo Watches 1x Orange Polo (Large) 1x Black and Green canvas bag 1x USB Lighted Mirror ETA: Box weight was 2.7lbs
Mine arrived Saturday, just now on the computer: 9 bags of Texas air 2 yellow Breo watches 1 packaging of Battling Bugs 1 kids woot t-shirt (kinda cool actually) 1 awful lunch/something bag (black and green) 1 woot tote (girlfriend is currently using it) No transmission
Mine is still showing 5.5 lbs and its been through Indianapolis, so it is on its last leg. ETA still showing 27th
5.2 lbs 1 x Section 8 High Performance Ear Buds - Elvis 3 x Grey Breo Skin Watches 1 x Baywatch Barbie book bag 1 x FootFlush 1 x USB Mirror 1 x Animals Experiment kit 5.2 lbs (spouse account) 1 x 2011 shirt.woot calendar 2 x Yellow Breo Skin Watches 1 x Baywatch Barbie book bag 1 x FootFlush 1 x USB Mirror 1 x Animals Experiment kit Aside from the FootFlush and Ear Buds, this was a kids.woot Box of Cobwebs if I ever saw one. We should be able to sell or gift most things. Two other family members scored craps too, so we're hoping for some variety.
No weight, no email, no nothing except a tracking number (which I found via order number on FedEx). Hope it's just taking them extra long to stuff the turducken with candy corn.

More mass doesn't mean more size... just sayin'. Looks like my Box of Cobwebs is due a day early based on what tracking is saying. I'll post a pic. Standard 3.4lber.
Let's see. My first one is still 3.4lbs, and has been. It's been sitting in Denver since last Thursday. My wife's still at "Shipment information sent to FedEx" and sitting in 1lb limbo.
I'm getting a slowly forming black hole. The mass of my bag increased over time.
Do the heavier Box of Cobwebs#39;s usually have decent items?
Got mine over the weekend: Baywatch Barbie backpack, 2 of the Breo skin watches (yellow this time around), another Super Duper Kiddo task list, a Little Experimenter (or whatever it's called) kit, and a USB-powered folding mirror. I wonder if this was my "punishment" for using kids.woot for the purchase...
Well, the official Woot scales must be broken! Like others, my bag lost weight in transit, starting out at 7.5 lbs and now showing in the system as 5.4 :-(

I am right there with you, weightless and dimensionless. But I still have hope that my Box of Cobwebs will be delivered today!
