7) Most Box of Cobwebs#39;s sell out within 15 minutes; if it's been 25-30 minutes and you're still without an order page, it's game over.


EDIT: If anything, Woot should add a captcha to the order page, even if just for Bags of Crap, there are people who still buy them with auto-buyers and bots (which I believe is just against the spirit of the Wootoff).

I tried all of that. I got through to the order page but then it just kept timing out. It would not go past the order page.

It allways happens at the WORST times too like when I am doing a Photo Shoot and I am not at home. The past three times I have been at home ALL week but the few hours I go out for work they post the bag. It is just my luck I guess.

I will give it one more try next woot-off and then not again. After a certain period of time the expectation will far out weigh the payoff of getting the actual bag full of well junk.

I've been trying since 2006 with auto-purchasers, alarms, and just plain old manual refreshing. Never works.

Didn't get too much other than my very first Bucket of Candycorn and my first trio of woot monkeys. But I was happy to get them both
Overall, a quality day off work!

Far as I can tell, that's kind of the point of the Box of Cobwebs.. It's more infamous than famous. We all know it's going to be full of crap -- says so right on the tin. It seems to be more a pride thing than a "look at the cool stuff I got out of this" thing... I mean, people have gotten fuzzy High School Musical alarm clocks and smiled about it. They generally don't want the items; it's more about the hunt. (Of course I say this having missed every Box of Cobwebs since I started playing here at woot! except for the one I finally got today. If I get something mega-awesome in mine, I may take back everything I said here ;) )
