If the only options are Cake, Pie, or Both, then we have quite a problem.
It is an accepted fact that The Cake is a Lie. It is also accepted that you may choose Tea AND Cake or Death. This, of course, being an order of operations riddle. Instead of Tea + (cake OR death), it is (tea AND cake) or (death). Since the Cake a lie, it becomes (tea and LIE) or (death). This is unacceptable per the accepted facts, so Death is the only option.
Further, given the above, the Both option is now also fatal.
