I'll be happy to see the usual Thanksgiving guests (oldest son home from college, Grandma). But could I please have one weekend free of yet more banner ads in my email from the President & First Lady urging me to vote Obama 2012? I wouldn't mind taking a weekend off from ALL political banner ads, for that matter. Concentrate on the important stuff Thanksgiving weekend: cooking, eating, and shopping! (And giving thanks, too!)

We all have matching 1978 Trans-Am's up on blocks in the front yard, and one complete set of teeth between us. Last Thanksgiving, my rich uncle bought a new house, and invited us all over to help him take the wheels off of it.

A niece (by marriage) who has 4 children by 3 different men, none of which were ever a husband. Yep and all paid for by your tax dollars. Oh and did I mention she's a methadone addict as well. Yep that's being paid for by our tax dollars too. It just disgusts me every Thanksgiving.

Although I am glad my step-brat and eldest child from the past do not come. They would drive everyone crazy with bullshirt and lies..

I usually stay out of the same room, so as to have as little to do with him as possible.

It's only ever my immediate family, and I see them pretty much every day anyway. So, it's like any other day, but with more food. Best holiday ever.

I'm happy to see everyone I can! I have a lot of family to see during the holidays, and unlike most I generally enjoy the traveling.

Thanksgiving is for spending time with loved ones - so it's just me and the dog! I have to put up with family the rest of the year - this is my long weeked to get a break from them!

They're all held in varying degrees of affection, but the more the merrier.

I haven't been home with my family for thanksgiving in the past 3 years. For me, it's been "stay at my place while all my housemates are gone" but this year I have a boyfriend. ...But he'll probably be gone for thanksgiving too! :{

Where's the option for everyone?
