The divider is just a loose piece of material. They can be just left to hang from the top like a curtain, tied back or removed.
Lmao! I'm in this tent right now! Its the first test run after I bought it last time it was on woot! It's great for the price as long as your camping groups likes the power/water provide sites. Casual camping. My only complaint do far is the zippers are extra prone to snagging. I am worried about packing it away since it doesn't come with a storage bag. It just conveniently rolls up so that the base is on the outside. My wife and my dog love it since we moved up from a 4-man dome tent. We can all stand up, more than enough room for our crap, plenty of room to walk around the air mattress (casual camping), and it was actually pretty easy to figure out how to set up. -DKoss Sent from Lake Mineral Wells, campsite 28
Sorry. Double post due to poor reception. Im camping, I didn't expect to be able to woot! At all anyways. Time to go make pancakes!
Not really much use for a tent right now, but I am intrigued by that wallet. Can we get some more pics and info?
According to the narrative it sounds like this is a really easy tent to put up... In fact, it sounds like it might even be self-erecting...
beerbellybob wrote:From my experience,a tent like this will keep other campers from seeing you and your girl getting naked, but it will not hide the noise of fun stuff as well as a trailer.
But also remember, tents don't tend to rock...
HughHemington wrote:6 to 7? Yeah ok, but how often do you go camping with the Lollipop Guild?
Believe it or not, there are families with small children who camp. My wife and I take our 4 children/munchkins camping multiple times a year. When camping with kids, the bigger the tent the better. We had a tent like this one. We switched due to the fiberglass poles breaking right at the metal tip.
how much does it weigh?
Great - thanks for the reviews as that sealed the deal. Our family of 2+2 (+ dog)have outgrown our current 5-6 person tent (which is really on a 2.5 person tent)and we'd been passively looking for a replacement. Was concerned with the size, but more than a couple of the reviews in the comments have noted it actually sleeping 6, being able to stand up in it and even fitting grandma and her stroller!! Love the Woot community - thanks guys! In for one!

This tent is awesome! My family used this tent for about 4 nights and we got hit by 4 really strong thunderstorms with heavy rain. It survived well, and stayed relatively dry. It did get wet for the first one because the rain tarp on the top wasn't fastened down securely enough. Once that was fixed, it handled the other storms really well. 3 adults and 3 kids slept in it fine.
Ask the Penn State coach.

Gun Woot! Gun Woot! Gun Woot! Gun Woot! YES!
Bought this last woot time. Used it for the first time a few weeks ago. It rained, and rained and rained. Not one drop entered the tent! Couldn't recommend this more - it's big, easy to set up, easy to pull down, packs away easily etc etc.... Can't go wrong at this price.

4 words Cold weather sleeping bags ! everyone should have one for your bugout kit ! you may want to get a queen size air mattress or two to get you off the ground !

Hello Wooters, Does anyone who owns this tent know if it can fit 2 Queen size air matresses? (My wife and my days of sleeping on a ground pad are over.) The side alcoves appear tapered. How much narrower does the tent get at the sides? Thank you,
morganpartee wrote:I love this tent! Aside from having to set it up. But, after it is pitched, it's plenty roomy, and plenty dry.
Do the tent poles pop up off of the little metal pieces by where you stake them? I've never had a tent with that sort of connection for the poles at the ground. Thanks
The Cone of Silence is sold separately.

Here Here! Done a few Klondike Derby's as a kid and as an adult. Good times!... thawing out the milk in order to make the camp's pancakes.
Sigh, the good old days! I used to own two of these (think "double-wide"), but the recession got me - one was foreclosed on, and my wife go the other in the divorce (along with our 11 kids). Maybe I can get one back in the next Bountiful Overflowing Cornucopia
As we New Englanders say; "It's not cold out until somebody loses a finger."
Great price on a big tent, but why is it that the manufacturers haven't figured out that dome tents need a 84" center height so us non-midgets don't have to duck even when we're standing in the middle of the tent? I'd buy this but for the lacking center height; I've already got a cabin tent that surpasses this one in that regard. While I'd *love* the increase in room to spread out that this tent has, this is pretty pointless for anyone over 6' IMNSHO...
It'd be perfect if you plan to 'occupy Wall St.' -- next spring.
I bought this a few weeks ago and just set it up for the first time yesterday in the back yard. Setup was easy by myself and it is nice and roomy inside. However I won't be using this tent in the rain again. It leaked in a couple of places (towards the sides apparently through the seams?). I had purchased it previously because of recommendations on amazon.com about its weather proofing, but perhaps I got a bad one? Seems like the rain fly should have been larger. Overall a good deal.
Did anyone who has bought this tent pre-treat it first with waterproofing?

I would think so. We had a queen air mattress in it on one side, our girls were on the other and lots of room in the center.
cassjoe3 wrote:Did anyone who has bought this tent pre-treat it first with waterproofing?
I am definitely going to waterproof it now since it didn't hold up to the rain from last night (it was really coming down here in the Santa Cruz Mountains). That said, there was only about 1/2 cup of water total in the two places it leaked. After I moved our mattress from the side (where the water was dripping on my head) to the center, it wasn't an issue, though I'd have been pissed if my clothes were in those corners!

I noticed this too. I put it up for the first time yesterday and have already ripped the little zipper flap on the bottom when the zipper got stuck. You have to be very careful when opening/closing the zipper. I'm just going to buy an empty stuff sack from REI or Big 5 or something to put the tent in, kind of a bummer it doesn't come with one!
blanier wrote:How much does the tent weigh?
according to amazon 21.3 lbs
It can easily fit 2 queens. it gets a little narrow in the corners but still comfortable to sleep even elevated.
Finally! Something to go with my "Camping is in-tents" t-shirt offered by one of the partner sites earlier this week.
Bought one. Looking forward to next year's camping trip with the family! Got 2 young kids so should be great for the 4 of us!
Is this too large for many campsites? Or too large for 2 to 3 persons?

So one could consider it the "Walls of Jericho"?

No, Woot.com is still in Texas. The podcast team moved from Missouri to Washington, but the rest of woot! is still in Texas. Do you never check the tracking information on your purchases?

+1 on the rain fly. No way I'd buy a tent where the rain fly doesn't cover the entire thing. Bad design and I can't say I've ever seen anything like that before.
Does anyone think I can fit a queen sized mattress in here? Been looking for something to use to cover the whole bed and canopies don't go that big, at least not ones that would block a lot of light.
