I am waiting for the telepathic remote to show up. But then it would not work very well with the many voices in my head.

Well, I'm not certainly not elderly, but it was extremely satisfying to put all those other remotes in the box with the old computer equipment.

If only it tied together my Roku (thanks woot), Sony 5.1 receiver (thanks woot), $10 Magnavox DVD player and free 27" Sharp CRT TV I'd be in hog heaven (can I say that here?).

For now though, I'll continue to amaze my friends, guests, and solicitors with my vast array of remote control management AND save my vocal cords for things like singing aloud with Pandora.

And I vote.

Hey guys, so you know we're discussing a remote control right?

You know, when automatic transmissions first came out, people used to say " why he's just to lazy to shift his own transmission". So there...I think.

Did you not read my earlier comment about how it actually DOES tie together those products (most of them, I don't have all the same brands, but many of them)?

There's a simple technical solution. They'd just program the telepathic remote to only listen to the voice that thinks it is cool or funny that the other voices exist.

I did not vote today, but that's because there wasn't anyone to vote for. Literally, no one was challenging any position up for re-election, and they don't let you vote for none of the above.

Anyhow, I don't recognize this device, which is funny because I work for the company that owns the RCA brand name. Looks like they just re-branded some Chinese electronics.

how does it work when you want to go from stereo to tv. do you say "tv" 3.

Can it be programmed to respond to only one person's voice? Such as, in regards to the eldest member of our household whom loves to put the TV in their bedroom on at full blast, and then blame it on "just the commercials" - can I train it to lower the volume by MY voice command request from the doorway ....... that is, if it can even hear me? If it could do that, for the sake of my sanity alone, I would be prompted to be in for 3!

I'm a stick chick. I refuse to drive an automatic. Control freak, obviously, but I only need one remote control for my electronics. This one.

In my district there wasn't a vote, either, but I had to ask, of course. I think they did re-brand and I own the original, but I still stand by it because it just makes life SO much easier than looking around the house for eight different remotes. Plus...the pretty lights...bwahahaha!

I use that in retail stores. No matter how much something costs, I just give them a dollar. When they tell me I owe them more, I just say, "If a dollar isn't going to get you to let me walk out of the store with this item, then me giving you another dollar certainly isn't going to help." Then, I just walk out satisfied.

Not right now, but it has happened before. Telling you the truth, pick a LONG product and shut down, restart your 'puter. It always works for me.

Really? Does this remote work without having to push any buttons? Any voice in the room sends it in an IR-blasting frenzy?

Really? Hmmm. If enough of these remotes get out there, then I'm going to make a commercial which yells out "CHANGE TO CHANNEL 7!"

Didn't I see Jack Jack Donaghy peddling something like that on "30 Rock"?

In four days, you'll have been here a year. You STILL don't know that we don't always know what's coming in the future?

They haven't had that one, yet. They may not. If you click on the "community" tab at the top of the page it will tell you what they've sold.
