DennisWKam wrote:Confusion! Shame! The Woot-Off is still going strong, but it looks like the Woot-Off lights burnt out. Have no fear though, the lights will be back up after this item sells out.

I guess that's what we get for using refurbished gifs...

Next item up will be a bag containing the Magic Smoke from the Woot-Off lights...

... what? All electronic devices have a certain amount of Magic Smoke in order to make them run. If the Magic Smoke ever leaves, the device stops working. QED.

If indeed the flashy lights are gone that seemed to be a short one. Now what shall I do with my F5 key?

Had bad luck with this exact Vizio, with the Woot warranty...IOW not refurb'd by Vizio. The coax jack looked like it had been hot glued in by a 5 year old. So of course it snapped off the second I tried to hook it up. Woot had no more of these to replace mine with, so I had to be refunded.

I think someone may have tripped over the cable for the Woot-off spinning lights and hit the panic button, which sent a message to the fire company. The fire company hurried over, sprayed water all over the Woot offices, which shorted Woot's little power grid, the lights went out, and the hamster in the wheel left, thinking it was a shift change. The sister sites are on separate power grids, so there was no effect on them. They'll just blame the whole thing on the Fed testing the Emergency Alert system, and we'll all buy that reason.

Curse my hesitation and delay. Obviously my lack of impulse purchases in this situation has failed me.
