These are actually pretty decent media computers. I don't think gaming would do that well on this but I almost exclusively use my laptops for media anyways.

I have a HP with a 5650 and this 4250 as the power saving graphics chip, I actually play alot of games on it, older games like Mirror's Edge and Stalker. Heck, even Left 4 Dead on low.
It obviously cant touch the 5650 but it is okay for older games.

My mother had an Acer laptop, it performed so poorly she was quite tempted to toss it into the ocean (she lives at the beach). It now sits in a dark corner of her closet.

I just picked up a 15.6" Acer with the exact same specs at Fry's for $328 new. Battery life isn't great, probably less great with a larger screen.

It runs nice, but i'm going to put an SSD into it bo-eyyyyyyy

you could play wow on it.

It's that hot, energy sucking Phenom cpu, I have the N930 quad core at 2ghz and it runs HOT and sucks up the battery like no other. I can only imagine how hot and battery draining this 2.2 quad core is. I am sticking to Intel from now on.

I dont know, this might be hot for like 200 bucks or so. But I am cheap and am anti-AMD after owning two AMD systems.

Likely because they have "less than usual" requirements for their machine. If you are looking for a solid performer and want to save some dime, then go for it.

Not everyone needs a shiny new laptop that can run Crysis.

I am using a Toshiba C655 that I picked up at Microcenter for $350 a few months ago and it works great for what I need it for. Even runs Starcraft II pretty well.
