2.7lb Bundle of Carpathians beat the 9.5lb Bundle of Joy by almost 4 hours, according to FedEx. (I'm still at the hospital.)
Sylvia Nicole unboxed (click for her first tweet):
Edit: Now with inline image (grrr... Mobile Safari). And correct spelling. (Autocorrect!? or tired Dad?)

Aw, shucks! Thanks!
Now I just have to break it to my wife that I spent $8 on another relatively useless Bas-relief Oligarch Catcher. (And that, in addition to live-tweeting updates -- which I did when our son was born, that I also I posted updates to woot, too.)
Maybe I'll wait 'til she fills the percocet prescription...
I'd post the (Bountiful Overflowing Cornucopia) unboxing video, but I'm so tired/loopy that I actually drove home from the hospital without headlights (I've gotten used to my new car's automatic headlights, which my wife's 4Runner doesn't have -- hey, Toyota, why do you make the dash light up when the headlights aren't on?)

Question: Has anyone got this thing to work? I installed the software, and apparently it doesn't like Win7 that much. I also think that the speaker must not work, as i can't get it to make a sound. Or does it not have a speaker and instead use the PC speaker? Hmm... must... figure... this... out...
No, it's not fond of Win 7. Yes it uses your computer's speakers, the dog has no voice of his own.
Here's the process I used to get him to kind of work:
Step 1: Install CD.
Step 2: Connect Doggie to computer
Step 3: Wait forever for the drivers to link up.
Step 4: Disconnect Doggie
Step 5: Reboot Computer
Step 6: Once computer has fully rebooted, re-connect Doggie.
Step 7: Manually launch the software for said Doggie.
Step 8: Reconnect Doggie. Doggie should start nodding.
Step 9: Mess with obscure settings endlessly until something finally seems to work.
The dog has a range of about 3 feet and uses your computer's speakers to bark.
By default, he only growls. You must keep his little dog house on the screen in order for him to work.
The dog has been discontinued by Dream Cheeky and has been purged from their system. Maybe someone out there can hack him to make him actually work?
