Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I'll see it if someone drags me, but I can't think of anyone that would.

Missing an important option: "no it isn't. I refuse to accept any evidence otherwise, and you can't make me. Throwing a hate party would just acknowledge that the movie was ever made."

I'll only ever see it if a Rifftrax comes out for it.

My Wife, Mom and cousin will be there tonight. I will probably see it when my wife buys it on video. Quite frankly I just don't get it though.

I think I'm getting into Heaven.

I host Mock Parties regularly and the first two Twilights came up and boy, were they fun to make fun of... by the end we had Bella barking like a seal and Edward ready to kill her for real... not to make her a vamp.

And hating does imply caring. I hate that that series is taken as worthy of being published... I tried to read it... *shudder*

Take a drink every time the camera lingers on Bella's mouth hanging open.

The very act of leaving this post is more thought than I've given the series my entire life.

I'm going to see it Sunday with a friend, her sister, and her daughter. I love the books, but like any book-to-movie adaptation, the movies do leave something to be desired. But that still isn't going to stop me from going to the movie.

i enjoyed the books but hated the movies she is a terrible actor.

what i don't get is how can a movie/book that is so universally hated make so much money?

I loathe Twilight. Any other story with vampires and warewoves would be a recipe for awesome, but somehow, without even knowing the story, this book/movie is about as unmanly-femanine-nerd-dormant as it gets.

I look forward to a time, hopefully in the not-too-distant future, when this vampire craze is OVER. Yes, Kristen Stewart is easy on the eyes, and Taylor Lautner could inspire anyone to work on their abs, but I'm ready to see what else those two can do. Oh, and as for that Patterson guy--his bloodshot eyes creep me out whether he's acting or not. what a weirdo.

Twilight, the franchise that teaches girls to want to be seduced by brooding dangerous stalker boys? Yeah can't wait for the latest installment.

Have you been eating that sandwich again?

I got almost to the end of the first book.
Not sure what stupid thing happened that made me lose interest.

The bad part was, I bought the entire series at costco. Because I discovered it was way cheaper there and since I was reading at the dog park, I couldn't borrow them. Dogs like to smell the book and in general, books get destroyed there.

I guess if I see the movies On Demand, for free, maybe I'll watch them.

WE LURV YOU TOO! Dork!!!

I would have to be paid a large sum of money to go see this.

I'll wait for the Rifftrax version.

I'm just hanging out, really.

I'll see it if someone drags me there. Literally. If you grab me by the collar and haul me x miles to the nearest theater, I will sit down and watch it with you...as long as you buy the popcorn as well.

How did they not add an "other" option for this. I don't like all the Twilight craze but why would I waste my time throwing a hate party for it when I could be doing anything else.

Yea, how about "I won't see this movie but don't care enough about it to hold a hate party."

I was dragged to one once and I spent 2 hours and $5 milling around the video arcade in the theater lobby while my angry female friends saw it without me.

I was the winner that night.

Obligatory:

"Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing
what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it
is to have a boyfriend." - Stephen King

I find it most livable to just ignore that the series exists whenever possible; unfortunately I can't ignore three coworkers going on and on and on about this utterly useless idiocy ALL DAMN DAY LONG. It's like an episode of Teen Beat written to try to appeal to goths by someone who had heard of one, once.

Rifftrax has done the impossible before (made the Michael Bay Transformers movies at least watchable), but can't save this steaming turd of a series.
Clean cup, move down.

Think of the Spice Girls. Everyone said they hated it, but they sold over 10 million albums. So a lot of this hate is a mask.

As for me, the books were a great read. The movies are lacking, mostly because you cannot portray pure emotions like anticipation on film. I'll go see it anyways.

Come on, embrace your inner squealing, teen-aged girl. Keeps you young. Although, to be fair, the movies really don't live up to the books.
