Logic is simple - 2nd one is to "loan" to your neighbor so you can stop trimming his side of the hedge! (Or to give to your brother-in-law so he'll stop borrowing yours!)

I have a B&D similar to this and I've had it for years. The double sided cutters are nice because you can go back and forth over the extension cord before you realize it. Anyway, no problems with my trimmer.

Perhaps if you live in the 19th century. Not only doesn't it matter, but the former sounds awkward and somewhat poesy, whereas the latter sounds fluid and natural.

Would be hard to juggle these with power cords attached.

It should have been a 3-pack for juggling purposes.

They work well. Make sure you clean the blade assembly up and lube before you put away. If not you have to take it apart next time.

Who needs TWO you say? Edward, Edward Scissor Hands. Think about how this deal would have been benificial for him. I mean really, Edward Trimmer hands would have clearly been more effective on the topiary trimming. Good deal...too bad for Edward.

Generally good reviews. I picked up a pair. I'm sure at some point it will quit working and I'll just break out the unused one.

It's not like it is a high tech item, it won't be obsolete in 2 years.

I have never used one of these without accidentally cutting the extension cord. Seriously. I do not think it's possible.

I THOUGHT I WAS CRAZY! aside from being annoyed by having to keep the switch pressed the entire time, the power cord popping out every 2 minutes made me go nuts.

My experience is quite the opposite. I've had one of these for years. It gets light use (trimming in the spring and again in the fall), but no problems. If you are trimming on a daily basis, you likely should be looking at products designed for professional rather than consumer use.
