One for home, one for the cabin. Works for me, not sure if Black and Decker is what I want though.

I think this is a good idea. I can trim the hedges and give the other to my 5 year old so he can be just like Daddy.

You need to tie it in a knot. It's a must when using any power tool with an extension cord.

Actually this isn't such a great deal, Sear had the same $24.99 for one with a $5.00 coupon. They work great regardless of where you get them.

mean-time to cutting your extension cord in two is about 10 minutes... unless you are experienced, then maybe 15 minutes... :-)

that's no reason not to buy this trimmer... I'm just saying its very common.

Me. =-) My uncle was wanting a new hedge trimmer for Christmas, and now I got a bonus for buying him one. =-)

It's an insanely good deal too. The cheapest I could find for ONE was 45ish. Sears has the same one on sale for 106.<-----just one as well.

My parents have 7 acres. I think 2 will allow them to finish trimming by 2012.

You see the hole at the bottom of the handle, and the piece of plastic sticking out? That's for you to loop the end of the extension cord into and around so it doesn't keep falling out.

Blah Blah Blah!

We're going to need a bigger bush trimmer. Said the guy from the 70's.

we have one of these and the plug comes out/works loose every now and again while you're cutting which can be frustrating. otherwise it's pretty good. also my husband has gone ninja and taped it to a pole to reach higher up on a particularly large bush. I don't suggest trying that at home though. it was not smart!

There have been so many great comments on this one: quality posts for the lot of you!

And PS - I use that loopy thing in the back of the trimmers which is allegedly to hold the extension cord in place and that B**** still falls out. But duct tape helps. I will try the knot trick, too. Thanks woot sages.

I have a B&D trimmer like this. Not the same model, obviously, because I've had it for at least 15 years, but very similar. Still works just as well as the day I took it out of the box. I'm very pleased with it.

I realize this proves nothing about the quality of the current model, but I offer it just the same.

Do not buy this piece of crap.I bought my first house a few years ago and just have a few small flowering bushes in the front yard that needed trimming. The guy at Lowes said this would do. Yeah, right. This thing won't even cut a tiny twig. You're better off using scissors.

Why do you need two of these, you can cut an extension cord in half with one in about two seconds.

sweet! in for 3... make that 6!

I'mma mount them all to a 2x4 and clear each side of the bush in one sweep.

or maybe I'll attach them to my lawn mower so I can have some pre-cut action going on so that when I let my grass grow too long, it won't stall the mower so easily.
