I have been using this exact card in my dSLR for a few months now with no problems. Another one for $30? That's an easy sell.

I thought I had a very timely Woot for a second. But I need a MicroSD card for my Nook Tablet, not a standard. I would also like to get something that won't fail on me the first time I use it. I'll just keep looking.

I purchased this last time it was offered (as others have) and I have not had any issues whatsoever. Working fine for me.

I just have to say, this is one of my favorite product 'descriptions' in a long while. Don't know a thing in the world about Centon, and I (like many of the other posters) would give my right xxxx for it to have been a micro SD instead, but I'm still impressed as hell with all you wootFolk for the consistently high quality of the products you sell and the engaging way in which you do so.

Using this card (purchased from Woot!) in Nikon D5100 with no issues.

As a professional photographer, rocket scientist and astronaut in charge of launching spy satellites for NASA, take it from me... Every one of these cards sent up in satellites to be used to store photos of North Korea's nuclear arsenal have been rendered useless once the satellite has reached life's end, fell from the sky and burnt up re-entering the earth's atmosphere. All that data lost, while on the other hand, most of the Titanium bolts used to construct the satellite remained intact and reusable. Thats why, for my money, I NEVER drink Light Beer...oops, gotta run, the OR is paging me.

Has anyone used this card in a GoPro HD? I'm thinking that I could get a lot more footage on this one since its always the 16GB card that fills up before the battery dies.

Sounds like the big issue here is Centon's QC (Quality Control) process and do you want to be part of it.

Yuck, Centon again. Worst brand of solid state storage, in my professional opinion.

Just about all of the comments here focus on camera and camcorder uses. Cards like this at this price are great for moving data between computers and other devices like loading avi files from my desktop to my laptop. I wouldn't risk them in my digital camera and who needs to have capacity to take 8900 photos on a card?

Just an observation -- 12 years ago I got a good deal on a 32 mb SmartMedia card for my Olympus D450z for $75. Here you get 1000 times the capacity for less than half in 2011 dollars.

I went to Wikipedia but first it took me to a page about a Succinate dehydrogenase complex subunit C protein induced by the SDHC gene which just plain didn't seem right.

Then it took me to this page:

I hate to post negative comments on products offered by Woot, but here I must make a statement.
I bought this exact card from Newegg for about $15 more than this. DON'T DO IT!
I lost my ENTIRE European vacation videos and pictures. The card failed. I take responsibility for not backing up each day but I lost everything.

Buy Sandisk, PNY or Kingston which offer superior reliability. You DO get what you pay for.

I have had this card since the first time Woot offered it for sale and I have had zero problems. I use it primarily for shooting video on my Panasonic Lumix GH1, and shooting 720p I can record 4 hours of video. If you use a Canon or Nikon it would probably be about an hour or so less since they use different encoding for their video files.

It is possible for you to have a totally different experience with a Centon card. I can't speak for their reliability overall, I can only speak of my experiences with this same model of card, and I love it.

Or an otherwise good product with inconsistent quality. Something like this that has a very specific feature set is going to be a "5" or a "1" for most people, depending on whether or not it performs its basic function. Those that don't have a/the problem give it a 5, the rest with any problem give it a 1.

Summing up some answers for other posters, this is a 32gb card, and anything over 8gb (iirc) is "SDHC" or just "HC", and your device needs to be rated SDHC compatible to use a card of this capacity. A few devices t that aren't rated it will do it though, like my Canon S3IS. But if it IS rated, it should work.

Read speed and write speed vary. Technically you can go by the chart here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#Speed_Class_Rating But those are bottom numbers. A class 10 card may go faster. Read and write speeds are usually different, write is almost always slower. Write speed matters when trying to take video on a high def camera, (too slow of a card just plain will NOT work) Read speed matters when trying to dump the card to your computer. (dumping my 16gb cards can take either 4 minutes or 25, bad if you're impatient like me) Considering how memory prices are always marching downward, all memory warranties over 2 yrs are 2 yrs. You're not going to want a card "this small" three years from now if it fails, you'll just go buy a 128 for $15 instead of paying return shipping for a replacement of this 32. That's why most computer ram warranties are lifetime.

Naturally. I just bought a 16GB C10 Transcend SDHC card two days ago from Amazon for $16. It was either a Gold Box or a Black Friday Week deal and is back up to $22 now, but had I not just bought that to go with the 16GB C10 SDHC card and the Eye-Fi 4GB Wifi C6 SDHC card - all for my Nikon DSLR camera - I would've probably picked this one up.

You are not alone. My husband has one, and I often borrow it. It has it's uses. We prefer it over a tablet for many reasons. Hmm, a card like this might be good for Asus netbook, too. Considering....

Any card works in a laptop (including class 4), but the lower the class the slower it gets. If you have class 4/6, you can't record HD video because it isn't fast enough.

SDHC is > 2GB. If you have an older camera/MP3 player, it may not be capable of SDHC.

Despite all the weird techie stuff, >2GB is all that matters.

If you're planning on using these for HD video. spend the extra $$ and go for a Sandisk Extreme. they are the only cards I have not had problems with. get 2 16gb sandisks instead of this. you will not regret it. (2 16's is a better choice because on a 32gb you can lose all your data if one card goes bad.
plus 2x16's is cheaper.

Well said, thormj. All of your posts regarding this have been spot on and user-friendly. I award you this photo comparing what 1GB looked like before SD cards. Imagine lugging 32 of those around attached your camera or smartphone!

Newegg selling for $40 with free shipping - but it gets BAD reviews. 3 reviews, and all 3 people claiming the card corrupts their data. I need more 32G cards for my HD video camera, but I'll pass on this one.

It's not like mom and pop can start making memory cards and sell dirt cheap. Realizing that all memory goes through a QC check and some manufacturers have higher standards for pass/fail, the memory that fails never sees the light of day. I have memory cards from Kingston, SanDisk and several others...I've never had one fail. I use them in race cars, helmets, hand held cameras etc...even the best can fail.
Most memory chips come from the same plants...the ones that pass higher QC standards are the ones that make it into the SanDisk and other high end, higher cost cards...
Every card has a lifespan...once it reaches the end of it's write life....game over. Doesn't matter who makes it.

Don't Waste your money get a San Disk EXTREME class 6. It's still the best.

Watch out for the CLAS selection of your devices. It may not work in all devices.

Much as I'd like to have a use for this, the 16GB card I'm using in my P&S is plenty for my purposes. Guess I'll have to pass.

Got this card from here back in Feb. Have been using it since then with a Panasonic GF2 ... shooting in Raw and taking HD movies. Have not had a problem with speed or corruption. Met my needs perfectly.

I am not so sure about that brand. I just bought a SanDisk 32gb micro SD 4 class card because of all the better reliability & speed reviews. Plus I have had several normal SanDisk SD cards and they have been very reliable over the last decade. SanDisk is not perfect but it is better then most. From all the reading recently on SD brands I just did I found that SanDisk makes thier SD & MicroSD cards to generally exceed the rating 2,4,6,10 ect..which is nice.
I did read some ok to generlly good reports on Kinston, Lexar, PNY, Transcend and Amazon Basics. None of the brands are trouble free but some have hiddious track records on reliability for Heavy &/or long term use.
A long warranty is nice but if you loose irreplaceable data & pictures - whoopee, I guess it's good you can get a new card but if it isn't reliable - why go there?

Hoping this will work in my GoPro camera, in for 1!
