These are fun, but you need to get on eBay and buy a 50-pack of those little button cell batteries. You'll go broke buying them from Wal-mart in the little 3-packs.

We have the read deal here in MS... never needs batteries!

Hexbugs are great! I bought a starter kit for my son when he was 3 and it was the very first toy he was mesmerized by. Sat there staring at it for at least 40 minutes, which is saying something for a 3yo.

I purchased the bridge battle set from woot last year and the box was a little damaged, but the set itself was in great condition. The batteries on the bugs die quickly (if you're staring at them for 40 minutes) so find a better deal elsewhere (amazon, dollar store, etc) as others have said!

Oh, and yeah. This is a good deal. Buy it.

my sister gave me my neices' christmas lists last night. i looked at "all things Hex Bugs" and was like...."huh?"...

then i got the email with the new woot item...SCORE!!!

I picked up a pair of the battle sets on Woot a while back. We gave one to our son's best friend for his birthday. Son ranted about it. When his birthday rolled around, out from the closet it came. It's surprisingly fun to play together, they're almost like little living things.

Having their own habitrails will be very important once these hexbugs achieve sentience.

After all, the real reasons the machines rose up and had to send the terminator back in time was because once they got consciousness they realized they had no play space to call their own.

Real bugs are better than the Nano bugs.

Cheaper- easier to find, come in more variety of designs... and when you're finished playing with them you can eat them.

Got one last Christmas . . . The little vibrating bugs makes for fun "alone time" with the wifey.

Daughter and I played for hours with the set last year, adding this one will be a blast. She is going to love it!

My kids love these little electric cockaroaches. They make up their own games with them. Whatever you do don't buy the HexBug brand batteries. They're cheaper on the net... search for L44 batteries. I'm about to order 50 batteries for less than $7.
