Horrible reviews? There are 2 at the link you posted. Come on now! And the first one admitted he's hardly used it.
I have a folding SOG knife and I love it. I've had it for years. It's a replacement for the one I lost. So I guess my only complaint is that it doesn't follow you home.

Not all SOG knives are equal quality.

It's only for sharpening the serrations, not the entire blade (although it could probably do in a pinch). If you've never tried to sharpen a serrated knife before, you can't use a standard whet stone.

Ah, makes sense. I've never tried sharpening a serrated knife, but I can't imagine having that stick would give me the will to do it :P

Odd. The rest of the world's impression of Texas is the hypocracy between religion and filandering and strip clubs, while there is lawlessness of shoot-outs between bar patrons on their way to a nightly bbq at the electric chair. So a 4.5in blade is illegal there? Wow.

In GA at least it has to be shorter than 4" or else you need a concealed weapons permit.
