My seventh Bag of Coal - most of which have been so crappy that I can't even remember what I got. A few gems from the past: my roomba, the crazy oscar meyer weinermobile ketchup and mustard dispenser, the silly digital pictures Christmas ornaments... and oh yeah, the time I got a McDonalds happy meal toy. And yet, I still try and cheer when I get through. Hope it arrives before Christmas!

To start off you have been a member for 2 months....some people try for years without getting one so 2 or 3 attempts is a fairly low number.

To answer your question its timing and luck. I saw the want one button, clicked once....waited....order page loaded, typed in security code and hit gold button.....waited......second page loads and click big gold button.....wait again. It worked for me yet someone else in my office who was trying at the same point in time did not get it. Just gotta get lucky that the server loads pages for you before the crash occurs.

Had to leave my computer after trying to order and came back to a beautiful sight!

According to the stats, the first sale was in less than 4 seconds? I jumped on this the second it came up and it took my T1 line >45 seconds to even load the first order page!

Please help me understand. I clicked immediately when the previous item ran out and then refreshed until the "bag" came up. I did everything very quickly but still failed. It seems to have something to do with the way the Internet works and the area of the country in which you live. Look at the past maps for Random cr*. The states are usually shaded in a similar way.

My connection is fast, but when I am at home rather than at work and can use those alarm sites, the alarm sites always have the new product before my woot.com page even runs out of the previous product. I have to refresh numerous times and it looks like the old item hasn't even run out when the wooters.us site has the new item posted. That doesn't make sense to me.

Today my pages would get stuck, say "done" and then I would have to refresh. By the time I finally got the "buy it" button, I clicked it and then was told "This sale is sold out." I babysat the computer the entire time, but I still failed. Will I ever get another Burgandy Olfactory Center Between all the woot sites, I have "wooted" 159 times (many times 3 items) for a total of 341 items. That's not even counting the two-for Tuesdays. Do you think having too many previous woot purchases has my user id blocked from rc? ...they know I'm going to buy anyway, so why should I have rc? Should I create a new user ID or start using my husbands? I have so much surplus woot I can't even put my(surplus) house on the market until I clear it out.

It's a filter and they change the translation frequently. Many words and phrases are filtered. Yesterday I discovered they have a filter on f-u-g-l-y: 'ugly sweater'. Adorable.

Maybe it's Two-fer Tuesday for you and you'll get double.

I don't know where Woot hosts its servers, but I'm guessing in either in Texas or somewhere central of USA. If you reside far away from the servers, such as in the East or West coast, then your requests (those clicks) take further to travel from your PC to Woot's servers. So, for those that live closer to where the servers are located, their requests handle first because the distance travel is shorter.
