Aaaaaaand...

Replacement Vtab arrived - and doesn't work right either. This time - it won't connect to the PC and allow you to mount the Vtab as a USB storage device.

As a summary: Original woot.com Vtab had no audio at all from the external speakers, and only one of the headphone outputs worked.

Second will not mount as a USB storage device.

So now I get to send BOTH of them back, and hope they get it right for #3.

I'll be honest - at this point, I would almost wish I could just get a refund.

Thanks for the reminder to check it out. My replacement tablet into my noise-canceling AblePlanet headphones from Woot! running Pandora sounds very good -- unless you plug the power cord in, then you do get some low-freq ground-loop noise when the noise canceling is turned on and the music is on pause.

The replacement I received from Vizio is working out with no issues. Just have to get a good recert from them. Insist on this, like I did when I called them, that I absolutely must get one back that has been thoroughly tested and works.

When I connected USB to my computer just now for the first time, I did have to wait a few minutes (as usual) for the new device to be picked up in Win 7 (can see the hard drive light pumping away). My computer seems to connect to the tablet internal and SD card storage with no issues. Hope you can try again and get a good one -- I am fairly satisfied with the value and performance.

Glad yours worked out. I shipped BOTH of the units I had (original and replacement) out yesterday as their request - which makes me nervous that I am sitting here with no tablet at all and am now completely at their mercy.

Aaaaaaand Vtab NUMBER THREE is broken on arrival too. No sound from the external speakers unless I stick a headphone cord in the jack halfway and wiggle it around.

Can I get a refund from Woot?

My daughter just LOVES her Christmas present... NOT.

Thank you. Since they already have one on the way to me - I'll wait to see if it works when it gets here and go from there.

Bluetooth Keyboad support ?

I bought this vizio back in dec, now im try'n to get my bluetooth keyboard to pair with it and having some troubles. I was hoping someone else that bought this tablet would have some advise to offer?

It asked for the PIN and suggests 0000 and 1234 neither of those worked. I thought that the tablet it self might not support HID devices so i downloaded 'blue keyboard jp' from the android market place but it didn't seem to help i still don't know the pin required? the keyboard works great for my imac and iphone but cant pair with this tablet?

Any help would be awesome thanks in advance.

Have you tried doing some troubleshooting with Vizio? Here's their support site if you need it.

I eventually got it to work, bluekeyboard was needed. Just had to use it correctly. Operator error. Thx anyways.

My purchase was as a Christmas gift for a friend who loves it. Unfortunately, in January the USB connector failed to connect. Vizio immediately arranged a replacement (recertified) which we have not been able to get to attach to a network. Another replacement has been arranged and we are hopeful it will be perfect. (A new, unopened tablet is promised.)

Mine was purchased on 12/12/11 and finally pooped yesterday.(Ten days before the 90 day warranty) It's has been giving me weird glitches here and there but still worked okay til now. When plugged to the charger it just shows a pic of a battery with a red flashing light. Also the orange light comes on up top for a few mins and starts to flash back and forth orange to green. Won't come on. Called vizio and explained to them my problem and they got my info and now I should have a replacement here within 8-10 days. Crosses fingers this one won't give me any problems. If it does(hoping it doesn't)... is there anyway I too can get a refund from woot? I understand that there will be another 90 day warranty on the replacement one but I hate to hassle with shipping/receiving.

Let's hope the replacement doesn't give you any issues. If it does, send us an email at service@woot.com.

HELP!!!

It seems my Vizio VTAB1008 is having a problem with the power connector, and I need to get this in for service before the 90 day warranty runs out.

Do I go through Vizio to get service or do I go through Woot?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This tablet comes with a 90 day Vizio warranty, so they should be able to help you out with support.

Try contacting them and feel free to email us at service@woot.com if you need further assistance.

I've been loving my vizio tablet since the day it arrived. No problems at all. My sister also bought one at the same time and she loves hers too. It got even better today when my vizio tablet updated to Honeycomb!!!

Well, I bought one on this sale, and I was delighted by it. Until the power connector wouldn't charge it. I have to use a rubber band to pull the USB connection tight to one side to charge it, and that is sure to break totally sometime.

I emailed them for a repair, the return email told me to call. I called and they were almost nice that the woot items really weren't eligible for warranty service, but they would "take care of me" and send me another one, holding my charge card number as hostage until I sent back the original.

This power connection problem seems to be the common flaw with this model all over the internet, and I specifically asked whether this problem is fixed. The phone girl said all they do is send out a refurbished unit. So- not really an answer.

For cow's sake, all it would take is resoldering it correctly and putting a drop of epoxy on it so it won't come loose again. I wanted mine to be repaired since it worked well otherwise.

So I have the replacement and I spent today copying from the original and copying back to the new one.

But the new one won't connect to my wifi unless I hold it right next to the router antenna.

I have the original and the replacement side by side. Original connects reliably everywhere all the time. Replacement won't connect unless it's one foot away from the wifi antenna.

I will see what happens when I call them tomorrow. I'm not sending back the original, which worked fine but now has the loose charging connector. I'm going to send back the refurbished, useless, one.

I would still rather have my original one repaired CORRECTLY than have a replacement.

I was delighted with this unit at first.

Now, I Am Not Pleased.

I loved my tablet until the it wouldn't charge anymore. Spoke with Vizio and jumped through their hoops sending them proof of purchase and pictures back and forth. After a few days they called me back and told me they wouldn't replace it because Woot is not an authorized seller. Crap...it was a great tablet. Wont buy anything from Vizio anymore.

Now my original will not charge no matter what. The replacement is useless. They're sending me another replacement! They wanted pictures too of the first replacement unit. I sent the pictures. It looks as good as new. It just doesn't work.

And with the poster above being denied any service from Vizio:

Woot, what is going on with this model and their "service"?

Mine stopped charging first week of March. It was actually quite iffy from the get-go. Vizio customer service sent out a replacement and I sent back the original. Mini-usb charger works perfectly on this one. What a difference from the original! The Honeycomb update came the same day the new tablet arrived. Great update..... Big difference from Gingerbread. Very happy with my tablet. Do not understand why some of you are having such trouble with Vizio customer service?

So I am now on my third. This one was brand new, in the color retail box and a different kind of plastic on the screen, a kind of sticky sleeve over the front and back of the unit. The ref-urbs had a different plastic on the screen only.

This 3rd one does not connect as well as my first. It keeps dropping. My first one virtually never dropped wi-fi, the second just wouldn't connect, this third one drops every 5 to 10 minutes. To be clear I am accessing wi-fi from the very same chair in the very same room where my laptop works fine, my old netbook works fine, and my old tablet (Velocity Cruz) all work fine with wi-fi.

My original Vizio now has a completely broken charging connection.

If I can't get my money back I will try for a fourth next week. This third one is unacceptable. The 1st broke, 2nd is no good at all, now this 3rd is unacceptable.
