roybotnik wrote:As someone who runs at least 5K outdoors at least three days a week...let me say this.

I live in VA. It gets dark out at 5:00pm and often down to 20 degrees in the winter. It gets to 100 degrees with 90% humidity in the summer. Also, you do realize some people have jobs, right?

Having a treadmill is nice for the days with truly awful weather or the days that it gets dark out before you get a chance to run. I'm lucky enough to work from home 3 days a week. If I didn't, I would basically never be able run outside unless I got up at the crack of dawn (not happening).

None of those things should stop you. I don't understand how having a job means you can't lace up and go outside? It's just the same as going to the basement on to your $1000 treadmill. It's also a less effective workout using a treadmill. I won't go into the details. I'll allow you to do your own research. If you have the time that is.

Received it quickly.

Great treadmill. Quiet, sturdy and well-cushioned.

BUT,since I couldn't figure out how to pause the treadmill even though the manual says it's done by pressing the "Quick Start" button, I called Customer Service. Turns out you can't pause it, you have to press "Stop" which will reset the computer.

Something I can live with since it's such a quality machine.

I got an email on 21-Dec from woot saying it was shipped, but the tracking number still doesn't show anything on the Home Direct USA web site. We left town for 3 days on 26-Dec, and I'm unclear what might be going on. Has anyone had any delivery problems?

Home Direct tried to deliver mine yesterday. The box was so mangled that I could only refuse delivery. It looked like they ran a fork through the side and bottom a number of times. Even the driver suggested that I refuse delivery it was so bad.

Now I'm in the black hole known as Woot customer service. I can't get a live person. The email says I will be refunded when the unit is returned. I don't have the unit, Home Direct does. Home direct refuses to talk to me...they will only say talk to the seller.

So here I sit wondering what to do.

Bummer, because it sounds like it really is a decent treadmill for the price Woot sold it for.

Update: Well thanks to the awesome Woot.com customer service rep Bob M., I now have a working treadmill. Bob called, worked out the details with the shipper and I got the treadmill today. Thanks Bob M. for the help!!!

I am STILL waiting for mine to arrive! I called Home Direct and they gave me the number of the local carrier that has it (in Denver). I have called THEM multiple times in the last week and have not heard a thing back.

Today I called another number that I found for them online and the operator forwarded me to the same number I have been calling all week. So I called back and the operator sent me to what she said was the main guy in charge. He answered and put me on hold right away. I sat on hold for 5 minutes and then called back. Then I was sent to his voicemail. Of course haven't heard back yet. I'm now afraid that something will happen like the person above me.

I was hoping to have it here for this week so I could get a jumpstart on my workouts while I have days off. So frustrating!!!

Just called again and finally talked to someone. They can't schedule delivery until NEXT Thursday (1/5)! So much for getting a head start on things.

I'm also in the Denver area (Centennial) and they are supposedly coming by this afternoon with the delivery. I never got a reply from HomeDirect, and the call to schedule the delivery was from a local moving and storage company. I've got my fingers crossed that it arrives and is not damaged.
