My wife and I frequently give boxes and boxes of food to the food bank. And she has gotten me into the habit of emptying all the money in my pockets into the hands of the homeless, especially vets. As she often says "we know where our next meal is coming from. They don't." We don't have much: a small pension, social security and what she makes as an under-paid teacher. But, we would have nothing if we ever stopped giving. It is not about Christmas as we aren't Christians. It is about Humanity.
I did all four of the giving options, but since this poll only allowed one vote, I didn' vote at all

I asked my 19 year old daughter to stop for a few groceries on the way home from work the other day and when i asked her why she took so long getting home her reply was 'oh when I got to the store, the marines were there so I had to go buy some toys for the Toys for Tots before I could get the groceries'
This year in my family we decided to get each other alcohol. TIS THE SEASON!
My job is working with underserved and I get paid 1/3 less to do so than I would anywhere else, so *that's* my charitable giving. I'd actually love to give more, but I'm too broke...
