Greetings Fellow Wooters!
The info is in and I'm with the 5-6 pound group weighing in at 5,8 lbs / 2,7 kgs in a 16 in. x 12.5 in. x 10.6 in. box. Expected 1/5/2012!
Seems a couple pages worth of people were getting boxes in that range. I think I'll try to avoid looking back here when everyone starts posting their stuff. I don't want to ruin the grand surprise of revealing my crap ^_^
Anyway, Good luck to you all (You already had some if ya managed to snag a sack, but there's wishin' ya some more) and Happy New Year! LET'S GET DRUNK!

Specifically, what exactly constitutes one crappy item?
In many of the bags I have received, there were three (or more) different types of thing, but possibly more than one of each thing. For example, I once got six 8" USB cables, but they were apparently counted as a single crappy item. Are multiple iterations of a single item one crap, or multiple craps?
The other situation came up last year, when some folks got a toiletries gift set of some sort that had soap, hand cream, and something else, all wrapped up in a shrink wrapped fancy package with a bow on top. Since those folks got only that (besides the bag they got), several contacted Woot that they were shorted. Some received an apology and a replacement bag. Others received a somewhat nasty comment saying that there were three things in the toiletries kit, so they had three craps, so what are they complaining about? It seems to me that a packaged thing like that is obviously a single item. What is the word of Woot on this matter?
Note that I am bringing this all up before my bag arrives, so I am not complaining about my bag, which would be against the commandments.

As an aside, those 8" USB cables were something that I looked at when I opened the box and wondered what use they would be, but have turned out to be the one item from all 17 previous bags that I use the most, as in almost every day for the last few years!
Hello! You pose an interesting question I have seen brought up before. From what I understand 1 item is counted as it was sold by Woot. Think about the Two for Tuesdays days. Two of the same item is sold as "one" (or "two" or "three"), but you actually receive two of that item. I think in that instance that it counts as ONE of the items in your bag despite there being physically two.
