polskachick wrote:Agreed. The anticipation builds and is fostered by the unknown: i.e - what's in your bag. After the past few bags that I have received, the thrill is gone.. Even the sense of anticipation is gone.

I'm sure nobody cares, but maybe woot! SHOULD: I'm not staying up till 1AM on 4/1 or 12/24 or their birthday for this garbage... I just can't get excited about 'lucking out' and getting a bag. Whether it's the fault of Amazon or a weakening economy, woot! is alienating their loyal fan base. they spent several years developing their model, only to break it and become Midnight box or Yugster.

The last few Burgandy Olfactory Center#39;s that I won ended up going to Toys For Tots, and even then I felt guilty, wondering if I was donating some lead laden junk that could potentially harm these kids.. Maybe they'd be better off eating paint chips?

woot!, you really need to heed what's going on in these forums... We want things like Candi The Pole Dancer again... We want the TRUE randomness of the bags of crap... The most random thing I have seen so far in this forum was a box of paper clips...

No, Mikebass, you're not missing the dream... You're dreaming of the past...

All and all not bad, i just can't get enough of the anticipation of Burgandy Olfactory Center coming. Good luck to all

Santa gave me the same crap as this. LOVING the random gummi shot glasses. I'll be using these to celebrate Woot and their crap.

Found the gummi shot glasses here - for $12.99. Those alone covered the cost of my crap sack and definitely fit my random item quota.

Thanks Woot!!

Mom got her bag today (I had it shipped to her address as a Christmas Present).

She says she got:

* One Thermos brand water bottle (she'll use it),

* One thing she said was a white head band like what women used in old movies to tie their hair back while doing laundry,

* One finger towel in shades of brown (she said it was pretty, Mom likes browns),

* One black mini (but still good sized) duffel bag,

* And one thing which took some figuring out, but appears to be a projection screen for a mini projector (brand: Optima).

My Bag of Coal was originally due on 1/6, then after the extended fedex holiday break it was bumped to 1/7, but checking my tracking while I was out to work showed it was out for delivery today (1/5). Gotta love Smartpost

The mystery of my extra weight (mine weighed 6.9lbs) was revealed minutes ago. I was hoping for something non-generic and I sorta got that. I got the same stuff others were getting, just in a different combo. I was convinced I was getting a foot flush

1. Ugly Green Flower bag. My city recently went "green" and you have to bring your bags to the grocery store. Now just to decide if it's worth bringing this hideous monstrosity of a bag or paying the 10 cents for a paper bag

2. Blue Dish Cloth

3. 5 XL Shirts. Will go to goodwill as I am a Small/Medium. I'll donate them for next years tax write off.

4. 6 pack of Gummy Shot Glasses (I like these).

5. 1 pop-up Sprinkler. Will work wonder in my Condo

USPS says that it went "out for delivery" this morning, but for my past couple of bags, that means that it will actually get delivered to my offices sometime late next week.

Go fig.

Hey, could be worse. Mine was in the same shipment (left KC on 12/30 - arrived edison just after 12am on 1/5) and it's still showing in Edison NJ for some reason, my info hasn't even been submitted to the post office in Brooklyn yet.

Looking back through other posts, it looks like Mom's water bottle may have been a unique thing. She showed me a picture of what she got (I'm too lazy to upload it and post it here), and it's a nice looking one.

Anyway, those of you sick of the lack of randomness or whatnot, why not have the Bag of Coal sent to a relative? Yes yes, it'll hurt if they get something really valuable, but what are the odds of that? Even if they get the same thing everyone else got, I bet it'll still be fun to listen on the phone as they open their very first Burgandy Olfactory Center Grandma still alive? Send one to her. Five year old cousin/niece/nephew going through a rough spot? See if they're old enough yet to appreciate the crawesomrapness of a Burgandy Olfactory Center C'mon, it'll be fun!

Burgandy Olfactory Center arrived today (one day before the orginal date and two before the adjusted date when it got to West Virginia).

Mostly the same as others:

1x Diva Darlings headband (Which my wife informs me is for holding one's hair back while washing one's face)
1x Screen for Optoma Screen for the Pico Pocket Projector (no projector).
1x Orange Re-usable shopping bag with a big Pink Flower on it.
1x Beige Hand Towel
1x Skil 21 Piece Ratcheting Screwdriver Set (haven't seen this come up in anyone's crap yet - but may have missed it)

Definitely happy with the haul. The screwdriver set will most certainly come in handy and my daughter has very enthusiastically claimed the flower bag. But I do miss the days of half-broken Sansas and open box cameras a bit - Not that it will stop me from wearing out my F5 button trying to get in on the next crapload.

Sadly my box was damaged =( There was a giant hole on the side, with stickers on it saying "Damaged upon reception" from my local post office. I really hope nothing fell out!

What was left in my box was:
1x cupcake gloss (will toss, can't stand putting dirty fingers into gloss pots)
1x kids bingo game (give away)
1x red duffle bag (will probably use for the gym)
2x brown/blue washcloths (actually match my guest bathroom!)
1x RC Color Bug (give away, I have no kids)

Even with the giant hole in the box, thanks woot

Step 1. Post something on the boards.
Step 2. Get this post noticed by a Woot staffer
Step 3. Have something in the post that a said Woot staffer would consider of value to point out.
Step 4. Watch for a link to your post appear on the first pаge of the thread as well as on the product page (on the day of sale)
Step 5. See the number of your quality posts grow.
Step 6. Brag about it all over the place.

I think that's about how it goes... Oh, and by the way - congrats on your first quality post.
