I just sent 2 representatives and 2 senators in my state rigorous complaints about not being able to access wikipedia for the day because the congress is contemplating on destroying our on-line civil rights with SOPA / PIPA.

No problem. We taxpayers actually come out ahead if the tax is less than $5 (i.e. if the total costs is less than around $60). We end up paying less because they stilll have to pay $5 s/h, while our s/h is effectively free with the $5 off.

I kinda thought that each state got 2 senators, and the state was divided up so each person living in each little bit of it got to vote for one representative in the U.S. Congress? How is it New Yorkers get get more than two, then?
