Every Archos device I've had has broken within the first year of owning it. They had a video MP3 player a year before the iPod played video, and a touchscreen player with Wifi well before the iPod touch, but their hardware quality is garbage.

Actually, I have an Archos 70 Internet Tablet (same generation, I believe, as this device) and it works great for what I wanted it for....a portable media device with basic internet access so I can watch movies on the plane or use my Slingbox in the hotel. Now, since I got one of the HP Touchpads, I gave it to my 6 year old and he loves using it for the educational games.

However, it is NOT a $600 tablet. It is exactly what it is, nothing more and yet nothing less!

Did I mention that it also works great with Plex as a media device at home, too?

I'm still enjoying the Samsung Galaxy S 5" that I got here last September...nice, pocketable size. I would think, as nice as this one seems, that sometimes size Does matter, and that carrying this around could be a hassle at times.
Also...I actually found a 12" notebook With DVD burner, which I prefer now over lugging my 17" laptop around!

Just my thoughts.

NO, No, NO, NO, No.

Don't be tempted by what appears to be a good deal. I just threw away my 16GB version of this very tablet that I paid $350 (new) for. The only pro was its form factor and very light weight. It's limited viewing angle is horrendously bad enough alone to avoid when considering the current alternatives for a slightly larger investment. In my case, the wireless died after the warranty expired which of course makes any tablet a brick. Save your money and buy one of the refurb'd 7" units for $230 or 10" for $280 that are popping up every other day or so.
