Yes, but the situation is not as dire as you might think. Sony is dropping development on the Dash, but apps should continue to run on it. And because it runs the Chumby's OS, new apps developed for the Chumby most likely will be available for the Dash.

The main concern I would have is for the things that Sony put into the Dash, the web browser and the various streaming services (Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon VOD, Crackle, etc.) I'm trusting Sony (and the services) to continue supporting the Dash.

That said, I wonder if the remaining stock of Dashes will be sold off in a month for under $50 or so. And I thought Sony had a new Dash out, I wonder if we could get our hands on that one!

I actually wanted this! And every woot off it's always between 1-4 Pacific when I have to be up at 6 Pacific. GAH!!!!!!!!

6 years in july. no crap. Not for a lack of trying, though.

Cannot register!
Trying to Unregister it keeps telling me my network settings are wrong. Connect again and try to unregister, network settings are wrong.
My network settings are fine, the default channels work fine, no problems with the network. The Sony Dash servers are messed up!!

Called Sony Support and was working with the customer rep for over 30 minutes, still cannot get it unregistered.

Paperweight!!

Not happy.

I have three other Sony Dashes that work just fine.

LOVE IT! digital fireplace/slow jam radio, ladies love it.
