Mine arrived yesterday, which is perfect because it was my birthday!

6.9 Lbs. Contents:

1 blue duffel bag

5 XL T-Shirts in various colors (black, blue, brown, rust and cream)

Screaming monkey keychain

3 Woot capes

Hulk Smash button (seems to be broken)

Lock&Lock food storage set

Two musical birthday cards which play "Shout" (the Isley Brothers version). So Woot sent me birthday cards for my birthday!

Woo, second Barrels of Crud replacement all shipped and set to arrive Saturday.

Woot was very nice, and even sent it to my new house (I moved in on Sunday).

The weight is 4.4Lbs and the measurements are:
24.5 x 18.5 x 12.8. Picture!

I'm very excited! This has been my first Barrels of Crud experience and it has been a fun and wild ride!

So as things are winding down, I thought I'd do a wrap up.

First this has been a very good BOC in terms of different items for people. I remember one where there was a model airplane and two bottles of car wax, where the only surprise was if one of the bottles had its seal broken by rough treatment. While some people have reported duplicates, it is down significantly from the bad old times.

For those who got really "crappy crap", don't see this as a bad thing. Find one item and add it (or start) your shrine to Woot.

For those of us who got something really good, we can now justify to our coworkers, friends, significant others, our addiction. I've had many people ask "why would you just waste $8 on a grab bag?" To be able to point to your slightly used PS3 or (in my case) iPod touch, only serves to drive the point home.

Also, a number of people were shorted in this round. New monkeys, as part of Woot's hazing, have to fill the boxes. In fact, I tracked down the monkey in question, he's in the middle pictured below:

His reply was, "Uh... it's my first day."

And with the exception of the famed letter, in fact Woot doesn't know what you should get. One monkey packs and seals the box, and it goes into a dark room. Another monkey pulls out a box at random and slaps a label on it.

So if you got shorted, contact service@woot.com and explain the situation calmly. They don't know what you got, it isn't the customer service rep's fault the new guy messed up, so give them a break. Tell them what you got and explain what you expected. Be very nice to the customer service rep, as they decide if you get a duffel bag full of loot or a used Kleenex as your replacement crap.

I had a dream a week or so ago that I received a woot box and it contained the most amazing looking club sandwich. So you can imagine my excitement when opening my (2nd) bag of crizap. It contained:

1 blue xl tshirt
1 spitball dartboard
1 tiny (sandwich) bag
0 sandwiches
Maybe the postman got hungry?

I seem to be missing one (sandwich) item. Waiting to hear back from the woot staff.

Wow, that's great. I have a 4.4-pounder on the way, too, but my box is surprisingly large (28x20x12). My prediction? A laptop bag. But, honestly, I don't really care. It could be full of 100 bags of Texas air and a brick. Getting to experience the anticipation two times is well worth the price of admission.

Mine works. Graphics are lo-fi and the user interface very very basic. Hardware and remote build seem to be so-so. Imagine if Wii came out in 1983, that's what it is like, sort of, but lower quality build than Nintendo would put out. It does what it says it would do.

Yeah, the fake wii works, but not when hooked up through the receiver, had to go through the vcr.
It was a pita to get the controller synched, make sure you don't lose the yellow sheet.

My 5.7 lbs/2.6 kg came in the white trash wii shipping box. I hate foreshadowing! Also got a brown xl tshirt and a spitball game (enemies version I think) and a blue duffel.

It was my first Barrels of Crud and it really was. I could have told the fat ugly hooker to meet me after work and been just as disappointed after the same amount of anticipation, and saved $3 to boot.

I'm trying to unwarp my Hulk Smash CD. If I can do it and get it to work, I will post a link to the ISO so people can create their own CD to run.

If anyone has a working CD, they could always post the ISO file here so we could all Smash things.

EDIT: Too Late. Hulk Smash CD into shards. Sad face...

ROFL! I don't believe this. I come home from work and find a huge Casio box on my doorstep!
I take a closer look and see it's a Woot! Bag of Cuuuuuute!. Huh? Did I actually order this? I remember getting to the order screen on Woot! that day, and it told me I didn't get it in time.

Now I come home and find:

1 - Casio WK-200 Keyboard w/cable and sheet stand (refurb but working) (Est value $200 - That's an epic win!)
2 - Blank T-shirts (XL - my size - WIN!)
1 - crappy Duffle bag (Dot's Poetry Corner)
8 - glow sticky things destined for a drunken party some day. (Delayed Win)
1 - Cafe Bingo game. (Dot's Poetry Corner, as I live nowhere near something so trendy)

WOW!!!

First Ever "Baggy of Cheer" - 6/15/11
Second "Biscuits Over Cherries" - 1/19/12
Overall Woot! Count: 16
