I would imagine so. You'd probably have to finagle your own instructions though.

Actually, it's 37.19 on Amazon, because this is the kit that comes with bottles, granted they are plastic bottles.

I have been homebrewing for years, would I get this? No. But, if you have never brewed before and don't know if you will ever brew again, you can brew a whole batch of beer for 25.00. If you like it, buy a glass carboy, the ingredients, etc. If you weren't sure you were going to like bike riding, you wouldn't buy a top of the line bike...

Would I be able to use this kit to carbonate beer I brew with my equipment? Since I don't have a kegerator, I have to bottle my beers. A few of these would make brewing easier and increase how often I do so.

Ran out of room for the wines, and can't think of a good quote for now

I was given Mr. Beer as a gift over a year ago. For whatever reason, i've found it easier to purchase cold pre-brewed bevereges up until now. However, I would like to give Mr. Beer a try some time. My question is how long the Mr. Beer fixens can sit unused before they go bad. Any ideas?

P.S. Mr. Beer always reminds me of the "Mr. Plow" theme song. That name again is Mr. Plow.

Bought one before, just ought another one.

Screw the haters, you can make kick ass beer out of these things.

1. Throw out the beer kit, specifically the booster pack and buy a Premium refill kit off their website or retailer. Get the real ingredients and you'll have good beer.

2. Let your batch ferment for a minimum of 2 weeks, I let mine go 3 or 4. If you follow the one week thing you're going to get crap beer.

3. Clean clean clean

Enjoy, WELL worth $20 for this.

For everyone that already owns this or is buying one. Today on the brewers website all "wooters" get 10% off refills. Not bad

you must have rain to have a rainbow............or just cry enough during the woot-off...then maybe next item will be your rainbow....optimism

A good deal for a fun and easy intro to homebrewing. I bought into Mr. Beer years ago and after 5-6 bathes moved into bigger equipment and more complexity. Get your batch going and while you wait, read "The Complete Joy of Homebrewing" - it will open your eyes to what you'll eventually be brewing at home. Even after I upgraded to 5-gallon batches, I still reused the Mr. Beer Bottles for quite some time.

I didn't have to sign anything when i got mine. There is no alcohol in it, it's just a kit to help make it.

Should be fine - there is no alcohol included.

These kits are great. Once you have it, go to the local home brew supply store and upgrade your ingredients. The yeast included is usually dead and not flavorful to begin with. But the fermenter works great.

I've used these before and the beer came out good. I don't like pale ale myself and actually my alcohol intake is unfortunately limited now a-days.

This is a really good price to get started though and refills are not expensive for 2 gallons of beer.

Time to take the plunge guys.

Bottling (and cleaning empties before filling) was the part I hated. If I hadn't quit drinking (and therefore brewing) I probably would have moved up to kegging the product.

Agreed - I started with a Mr. Beer kit at the beginning of last year. I now brew all grain and have a 4-tap kegerator and fermentation chamber in my basement. I don't even want to think about how much money I've spent because mmmmmm beer.

The last one I got was just dropped on the doorstep not signed for at all, same with the refills that I have ordered from Mr. Beer. I would assume it wouldn't be a problem especially since it isn't fermented yet so there isn't an alcohol content yet :-P

Again??? Guess they didn't sell out last time. Great way to get someone in the hobby of homebrewing, but I would say in general - unless you have some direction from someone that knows how to brew you are not likely to like the quality of beer these produce. And before you start flaming my post, I'm talking about things like sanitization, fermentation temperature control as two very important and very often overlooked factors new brewers do not pay enough attention to.

No problems at all. We sell home beer and wine making stuff and there are no age restrictions. This kit is just sugar and yeast, no alcohol included. Interesting as someone once complained to me when they saw some young men appearing to be younger than 21 purchasing a homebrew kit. I pointed out that (1) it's perfectly legal and (2) if they wanted beer to get drunk it was easier and cheaper to go to the Tiger Mart and buy Coors Light.
