There is this Amish Butter... literally called BETTER BUTTER... and I bought it for the first time 4 years ago and I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Looked at this one really close, but decided to go with a Lasko oscillating tower heater instead. At 1/3 the cost, it does a good job of actually heating our enclosed carport.

This unit doesn't work very well if you set it directly on plush carpet. You'll need to find a board, or some sort of rigid surface for it to set on, because if it senses it's not level, it automatically turns off, or won't turn on at all.

I'm old enough to remember when claims like that would get companies fined. "Up to 50%" wouldn't be a lie (just misleading), but the above is. Anyway, quartz heaters aren't magic, and don't neat the air well. This is just a big, expensive, guts-made-in-China space heater.

It's a 1500W heater, exactly the same as a $12 heater from Walmart.

Are the LifeSmart watts somehow warmer? More comfortable? Cheaper? Greener?

Sometimes a watt is just a watt, and 1500 of them have precisely the same heating effect whether the source costs $109 or $12.

Why won't you people stop talking about ancient history and discuss this damn heater?

well, I learned one thing from all this...I never took the plastic protector off the background of my new laptop keyboard.

Combine this with your woot! snuggie an heated blanket and you have a toasty room! ;)

last time these were on woot they sold out by noon. The previous heater only heated 1000 sqft.

I have one, but not the wood wrap that this one has. It has worked faithfully for the past 3 months. The heat is not drying. It actually removes the chill from your bones. If you have arthritis, you know how hard it is to warm up.

My unit just stopped working so I have to put in a call to lifesmart. Its under full warrenty so it should be replaced.

If I actually had the money, I would go ahead and order this one to keep in my room.

All I am finding is the 1500-4 and 1500-6...Not this 1500-3. Would be nice to compare apples to apples, so to speak.
