Those who waited a couple weeks get it $5 less now!

Still wish they'd bring the Mouse/Mousepad combo back. I've only seen that once (and bought one but want another).

Even if you hate tron- 31 dollars for a Razer gaming mouse is one heck of a deal.

Is this a good price? Decent mouse?

Using it right now, great mouse. Totally customizable, comes with software preloaded on the mouse, very accurate and light. It's a bit small if you have large hands but after a week you get used to it.

You guys should add some sounds to these types of items. I'm curious what the noise is :P I'm, guessing vroom vrooms?

I picked it up the last time it was on (for $5 more) and I don't regret it. A lot of people complained about the size, but I haven't had any issues. Runs beautifully after downloading the software from the Razer site. The software is minimal and perfect for my tastes. Positioning of your thumb and pinky/ring finger takes a bit of getting used to in order to not accidentally activate the forward/back key or the sensitivity keys. The light cycle noise is a bit gimmicky, but it's quiet enough not to be too bothersome. It tracks beautifully and slides effortlessly on my hard pad. Overall I think it's a steal of a deal.

Remember the Tron arcade games back in the 80's? They were the best EVER! Let's take a trip down memory lane shall we?

Can the noise be turned off?

*blinks* who thought glossy plastic would be a good idea for a mouse. Can you say fingerprint magnet?

Ooh, husband will be most pleased. We need you on the front lines, Razer TRON! Replace your randomly double-clicking cousin.

Excuse me if I post this twice...

I own it and it's great. Good sensitivity, nice look, and good for small or medium hands. Also there are NO drivers for Mac OS X. But the mouse still works and you can change sensitivity etc.

Hmmm... Looks slick, but I can't go back to a corded mouse. Have been loving my Logitech Air Mouse for the last two years.

It only occurs when the computer is turned on off (or usb plugged in).

Not from what I can tell. The software lets you turn the different lights (Scroll Wheel, Side Stripes, Under-glow) on and off, but it doesn't have anything for the sound. I thought about trying to remove the small internal speaker, but there doesn't appear to be any easy way to disassemble the mouse without damaging the pads etc.

Is it possible to disable the annoying light coming from the top of the mouse? I prefer the screen to be the only source of light, especially when the room itself is dark.

I'm not a gamer but I have been looking for a really good mouse for quite sometime with no luck. I use my computer for normal office functions plus I occasionally bring my autocad and Adobe CS 5 work home. Would this mouse be good for this kind of use or should I look for something else.

A little small but not bad. Side buttons much better than my old razor diamondback.

And yeah I got it last time. For $5 more. I want me 5 bux bak! LOL

Is that noise that much a nuisance? It only happens when you boot up your computer.

Edit: All the lights can be turned off and no, it's not tilt wheel.

Yep. You can shut them all off. I keep the bottom one on.

Does the cord bother anyone who has the mouse?

Its not bad, once it "relaxes". The cord becomes much more malleable.

I use CS5.5 myself and it's great. I just wish it was a little bigger.

I haven't had a cordless mouse in awhile, but the last one I had was annoyingly heavy despite feeling cheap because of the batteries. If cordless mice still have issues with weight the cord could be a plus.

Uhm. Why buy it if you don't want the lights. Just buy a 'gaming mouse' instead. The lights and Tron theme are what makes it a 'Tron' gaming mouse...

I got one of these last time and love it. You have to remember it has a fingertip grip but in my small hands it feels great. It looks really nice and I get comments about it from my freinds.

It's great and I'm a non-gamer. I slow down the mouse speed.

I paid more before the woot off. Have it a short time and it works very well. They do sell a matching mouse pad in a couple of places, especially Razer itself.

I've had Razer mice for the past 10 years. They're so much better than a standard mouse that comes with an HP or any computer, those that don't fit your hand properly. I have a tiny hand yet this is comfortable for me. I can see where it would be fine for a large hand too.

In for one, even though I absolutely don't need it. My Steelseries Ikari Laser still works like a champ. This thing just looks too damn cool.

yeah I'm using one right now and it's pretty great. I would in fact buy this one had I had the money but I'm fresh out at the moment. Hell I'd buy 2 and replace the one at work as well.

Can all four side buttons be programmed at once? Or must it be set to either right or left handed and only two can be used?

88fingerz

quality posts: 2 Private Messages 88fingerz

I've had one since they came out a little over a year ago (for about $100 =\ ). Absolutely love it. You can even create custom "profiles" which you can switch between using the buttons you define on the mouse (I.E. when I'm doing certain graphic or CAD work, I may need to set the mouse speed to a very very slow setting to get a lot of accuracy) With this feature, I can easily click and switch to practically any speed I'd like by pre-defining those profiles. I find it to be extremely useful.

I have one. Here are my thoughts:

Good gaming mouse, not as great for office work.

This replaced my Ideazon Reaper, mostly since it had a much lower dpi rating. The Razer's on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment is a useful feature. However, the top plastic is flimsy, the edges are uncomfortably sharp, and the primary buttons will register a single-click as a double-click, which isn't an issue while gambling, it can be quite a headache during office work, especially document editing or switching between layered windows.

I have this mouse bought one each of the last 2 times it's been listed ($5 more). It took a bit of getting used to, I actually hated it when I first got it because the sensitivity felt off, but once I installed the software from the razor site and configured everything, I actually prefer it to my other gaming mice. To my knowledge you can program all 4 buttons independently. The defaults are the 2 on the left side are sensitivity and the 2 on the right are dpi so all 4 can be used at once.
