When considering this offering, you would best be left to your own devices...

Ok, in for one!

I was pro-Roomba at the beginning of today, but after doing a bit of research today, reading reviews, message boards and watching videos, it's clear that this one makes the most sense to own. Less maintenance, updatable, and quite frankly the cleaning algorithm makes a lot more sense than just being a random pinball.

I had to talk myself into it, as we just laid out a whole bunch of cash to get new carpet and tile put into our house. Hell, it's not even technically done yet (grout problems). I waffled on this all day, and just about drove my wife nuts listening to me and trying to rationalize the purchase.

Ahhh...hell with it. That's what Xmas money is for!

If anything, the best rationalization is keeping the house as dust free as possible to help with our allergies.

Now, we'll have to figure out how we can keep the very curious 4 year old away from it while it runs! Do they have an algorithm for that?

All the "hacking" sites that were posted show how to take off the LIDAR unit and use it on other projects. How about any that allow you to actually program it?

Ok, can't wait until I get a tracking number so I can follow it obsessively until it arrives...

Since they are new, I'd bet they are a drop ship from the manufacture, hence the quick shipping. If they come from Woot it's forever and a day it seems.

New England here. Mine was waiting on the porch when I got home! FedEx Ground the label said. Time to drink heavily and laugh maniacally as this robut traumatizes my girlfriend's cats.

No Uber-Cool robot waiting for me yesterday in San Antonio, TX. Hopefully one will be there today. Just my luck - I usually get things faster from Woot as they just do one hop from Dallas to San Antonio. But apparently not in this case if they're being drop-shipped!

I'm in Indiana...wasn't at my door when I got home today.

Where did it ship from? How early in the sale did you order, etc, etc.

The return address was Woot's Texas address on the shipping label though I don't know if that necessarily means it was the true point of origin. I looked back and my confirmation email was around ~11:15am eastern time on the day of the sale. It was weird because the status never changed from order received. I hope you are pleasantly surprised tomorrow!

Doubt it...Fed Ex ground doesn't usually deliver on the weekends. Thanks for the information though! Post up a review of it after you've let her work the room! ;)

Very pleased with the product so far - packaging came with the system plus a small envelope with the extra accessory pack on top. It also comes with a ~14ft roll of magnetic strip that you can cut into pieces and lay down to either section off rooms or put in doorways to keep it out of rooms. Otherwise, it can and will go over thresholds!

I read the quick instructions to set up the dock and left it to charge. The instructions said the charge may take 2-3 hours but I think it was less than or closer to 2 hours to a full charge (solid green light).

I have all hardwood floors with runners and area rugs (but no tassels/fringes) and it tackled transitioning on/off both without issue. We have 2 cats that shed terribly and it picked up most all of it, even the tumbleweeds that mysteriously form and gather along edges. Don't expect it to work miracles and pull every single embedded pet hair from your carpeting, but nevertheless it still exceeded my expectations! I have a thin woven rug in one area that does not have that stiff backing so it tends to buckle and bunch up - the XV-12 went at it straight on and got caught, backed right up, and went back on it at an angle to continue cleaning! Pretty smart.

It even went into my bathroom and managed to sweep the fuzzy floor mat using the angular approach mentioned above.

The noise level is enough that you don't want to be in the same room if you are trying to watch television, but it is not as loud as a regular upright vacuum.

I've only had it for a day and I have already run it twice last night and set the program to run at 7:15 this morning, and the dirt canister was completely full both times last night and 3/4 full the last time this morning. (Mostly cat hair but it got all the other debris too)

Final thought: picture a grown man chasing this thing around the house with a beer in one hand and the kid's toy night vision goggles (to see the lasers!) in the other hand, squealing like a girl saying "DID YOU SEE THAT?? LOOK WHAT IT'S DOING NOW!!!"

Yeah, great buy.

For those that don't like surprises or just like to torture yourself watching your shipment bounce around the country, you may have luck getting tracking information here:
https://www.fedex.com/AltRefTracking?cntry_code=us
Enter your Woot order number in the reference box, ship date can be today, enter your country and zip code. I don't know if this will work for everyone, but it worked for me and has worked in the past so Woot must regularly use the order number as a reference number.

I hope I didn't expose any guarded Woot secrets here. I've already said too much...

Got mine today, charged it for 2 hours.
Closed all of my bedroom/bathroom doors and let her run.

WOW..... I am blown away. Did the living/dining room, breakfast nook, kitchen/pantry and went back to the livg/dining room to finish off the front entrance.

I thought it wasn't going to remember that it "missed" the front entrance.
It actually found it again.

It then "found" the rug on the ceramic tile and concentrated on it first before vaccuming the tile. It ran out of juice then, probably the rug used more juice than the laminate floor in the rest of the house.

It went back to the charging station and docked itself for a recharge. I checked the dirt bin compartment and it definitely picked up plenty of hair/dirt/dust off of a floor I thought was pretty clean.

I'm in love. Please last.

WOW! No, really...I mean WOW!! This thing is AWESOME! I am extremely happy with my purchase. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Got home and the box was at my door. So glad I live in small-town USA. Got inside and opened her up. Inside the brown box was a white envelope I have yet to open. I know from others posts it contains filters and blades. The vacuum box was tight in there, but easy enough to remove.

When I got it out I noticed what looked like a 're-tape' job, but the inspection sticker was on the newest one. I think it was removed to update the firmware before it was shipped as I have the latest version. Everything else seemed to be great in the box! (cord still wrapped, plastic wraps taped, etc).

So, I set up the base station and went off to a church meeting. When I got home it was ready to play and so was I! I turned it on and set it to clean the house. It did a GREAT job! We just vacuumed yesterday for a Super Bowl party, and this thing picked up a TON of stuff! Dog hair, dust, etc. I paused it three times to check and empty it!

I have about 1200 sq feet on my main level, but I closed off two rooms that weren't ready (cords in the way, etc) and the neato cleaned the rest in about an hour. Hardwood floors, throw rugs, bathroom tile floors with bath rugs, etc. it cleaned every inch and didn't miss a beat. Even did the kitchen and all on one charge!

I'm extremely impressed with this guy. My only regret is that I didn't get one for the second floor!!

Received mine yesterday in Northern Virginia.

Let it charge and waited for the company to leave.

Ran around on the first floor with 2 of the three bedrooms door closed. It managed to get just about every room and make it back to the charging station with a little juice to spare. bin was filled even after running a vacuum around the house pre-Superbowl.

I will say the thing is louder then a roomba, but it is sill more quite then a man-operated vacuum.

Surprisingly, the dogs didn't pay much attention to it. We'll see if that holds true today as I had scheduled it to roam the house at noon.

If it doesn't last Neato's customer service blows Roomba's out of the water. If they can't get it up and running if you have an issue they'll send you a new one and a call tag.

I went ahead and purchased a square trade extended 3 year warranty for mine for about $30 just in case is goes belly up in 2 years instead of under the 1 year warranty.

That said, enjoy your Neato - that thing is awesome! I love love love mine!

Got ours and have been giving it a workout. I've got to say that comparing this to a Roomba is like comparing a push mower to a riding mower. We went through two Roombas and finally ditched them at a yard sale. They just couldn't handle the obstacles in our house, and kept getting jammed under our table. The Neato, on the other hand, cleaned our house like a champ and came up with a full dirt cup just two days after our house had been cleaned.

During the first cleaning I found it sitting stalled in the middle of our living room floor and thought "Oh no. Here we go again." But when I looked more closely I found a cloth Christmas decoration stuck in its brushes. We'd put away our Christmas stuff weeks ago, but it found one we'd missed! Pushed the button and it took right off and finished the job.

Nope, you can still get one. Just be sure to search the internet for coupon codes. Over and above SquareTrade, Neato also offers an extended warranty for $99 (also covers 3 years) but I found the square trade warranty less expensive after coupon codes. IMHO, Neato offering a warranty where Roomba doesn't (and a much longer initial warranty) says to me that Neato is more confident in their product build.

Side note: I just googled Neato to find the warranty price and the first paid ad that popped up was Roomba - Roomba must be sweating this machine and with good reason!

Just recieved. Pretty cool robot. Smarter than my Roomba. Run time seems pretty short though. Will have to give it a few days to give a full judgement.
