Eh, I've switched to nights a while back. I'm doing some stuff on the computer. BTW, do you ever check your PMs?

Hmmmmm ... now you have me intrigued. I've only checked it a few times since joining Woot, but I'll do so in a sec.

BTW, is there any way to have Woot email mewhen there is a PM?

ps - "thunder thigh" was a childhood nickname for me.

No, no notifications for PMs. Just watch the envelope at the top of the threads and the number associated with it.

My son picked this name for me.

No, it doesn't. Bought it 2 weeks ago to the tune of $13.99. Shipped fast, but does not support multi-device units (i.e. DVD/Audio receivers a.k.a. Home Theater systems) and although it recognized most functions of my U-Verse remote, I couldn't get it to recognize the directional buttons, that is to say the Up, Down, Left or Right buttons, which rendered it pretty much useless to me. Threw it away after an hour. Fortunately it was cheap so it wasn't a big loss. Would not recommend to anyone I actually liked.

I hope you're a runner or play soccer. Otherwise, it might be insulting...?

I bought one for a gentleman who suffers from Parkinson’s disease. It was like the best gift. It used to take him forever to try to press a remotes button to change a Channel let alone turn on the TV. Great Item.

This is very heartwarming. Thank you for sharing. You are a good friend to him.

it would kinda be cooler if the remote were smart enough to recognize casual commands, though.

I got this remote to try to pull together my TV, DVR, and Blu Ray...I couldn't get it to work beyond minimal functionality.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Yup! Same experience I had. And with directional buttons being key to DVR and Blu Ray control..."useless" is certainly the word.
