This is worth it for the battery pack and charger alone. With the way the Wiimotes go through batteries this thing will pay for itself.

I got rid of my wii as well, not as fun as the good old 360.

Was going to get this except I'd rather have black and with my Prime membership it's cheaper to get it in the color I want on Amazon. Sorry folks

These require the cases and lanyards be removed before you can effectively charge the remotes.
You are better off looking for a four battery induction type charger where you can leave on the cases.

I have had one of these since 2008 (paid $26 then) and it's still going strong but there was an issue with the production that has never been corrected. I did a review back in 2008 on buydotcom and I will post it here for those of you that want to mod your cooler. Hope it helps?

The Wii Dual Charge Station and Turbo Cooler does what it advertises and at a price that's affordable. The reason the fan runs 24x7 is that the Wii is constantly drawing power to its circuit board and produces heat even when in standby. Not hot, just warm. So having the fan run all the time is a plus and minus. It will always keep your Wii cool, but also blows in dust to your Wii 24x7 as well. Always remember the dust. The batteries it comes with and charger docks are a quick and valuable tool. The footprint of this unit is not much more than the Wii itself with a controller on each side. The fan is annoyingly loud when your room is quiet. Not like a jackhammer though so it is tolerable any other time. The blue LED which has become so popular these days are the brightest night-sky piercing lights they could have chosen. You would not keep this running if it was in your bedroom unless you sleep like a log. There is a slight imbalance in the charging of the remotes. One side will charge longer than the other as they are not properly balanced by the circuit. This is only slight and you are not going to notice for a normal day of play. Straps must be taken off in order to charge the remotes as well as any covers. The modifications suggested work and I recommend them. An unmentioned plus is the remotes will still charge when you switch the unit off after the modification. This unit is worth the price, just go into this purchase with moderate expectations.
Here are the modification steps:
Pull the sticky feet off the bottom, take the unit apart, disconnect the fans GROUND (Black) wire from the circuit board, and re-solder it to the on/off switch where the red wires from the blue light are already soldered at the back of the unit. The switch does nothing more than complete the ground for the light so no harm. Should be able to do it in less then 10 minutes.
