I bought one from WOOT last month. We have a 3200sq ft house with tile and hardwood throughout. It took Neato about 3 days to complete it's first cleaning. Once it learned it's way around the house it gets the job done in a few hours with one recharge. The floor has never been cleaner! My one complaint is with two dogs in the house the dust bin requires emptying more than one trip around the house. Recommendation: BUY!

Looking back if I could have had a choice between a wife or the vacuum.... The vacuum would of definitely been cheaper. Plus if it stops working I just through it away and get a new one!
According to Engadget.com, this is way better than a Roomba. http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/24/neato-xv-11-robotic-vacuum-review/

THREE DAYS!! Yikes!! That's a lot of coverage. That it could remember all that area is pretty impressive. I'll give it that.
jloveland wrote:Nah. Woot's the same it's always been. Small electronics, vacuum cleaners, the occasional really weird thing, and posts about how Woot used to be cool. I think if you go back to the very first historical Woot-off, you'd probably find some guy posting how this is the "worst. wootoff. ever."
Nah. Looks like you and your face are wrong. There was a whole lot more enthusiasm from consumers in regards to woot-offs and not a single worst woot off ever comment to be found: http://www.woot.com/Blog/ViewEntry.aspx?Id=95
Is three simultaneous Woot-Offs a new record? Is this something new or has this been done before?
can this detect stairs or will it just want to take a dive down them
How does this thing do on high pile/super shaggy carpet?

bwhahahahahha this just saved me the trouble of posting. Keep the dogs Lose the wife
Wow, 3% bought 3 ... Guess someone is really into the (first day of) spring cleaning ... you know, either that or Robot warfare. Either way thanks for taking one for the team oh great and mysterious "in for 3" shopper.
No kicking required... I replaced my Roomba (which we had owned various models of since it came out) with this a couple of months ago and it definately cleans better with less issues. Just got another last week for the upstairs because I want them to run during the day when I'm not home (so I can't just carry it upstairs as previously suggested) since they do make some noise (as any cleaner would).

According to the Engadget review of the predessor XV-11 "The XV-11 is smart enough to not fall down stairs and does a great job at obstacle avoidance" They say, they XV-12 is pretty much the same as the XV-11, which they thought was great!
idbug wrote:I ordered one from Woot last week, after much agonizing and researching and reading reviews. According to all of that, the Neato seems to be superior to the Roomba. I can't wait to get mine. Hurry up and ship it, Woot! PS I'm very glad they aren't suddenly cheaper on this Woot-Off. That would have cured me of my Woot habit, I think.
Same here...especially after 2 hours of brain-rending research!! I love my 2 Roombas, so this was a big decision......I'm sooooo impatient!!!!!!
Damn. Decided to pull the trigger. Went back to the Woot off page and it still showed some on hand. Clicked the I want one button and it reloaded the page still showing the bot. I clicked it again and it reloaded the page again, but with the next item. >.<
