How's your Windows Server Infrastructure working out for ya woot? Maybe spend a couple hundred K more on SQL Server licenses, instead of talented developers who know how to loadbalance across a real Unix/Linux/BSD architecture. Of just keep pissing off all of your local customers, I'm sure that's a better route to go.

I've been visiting Woot! for months, so far haven't bought anything, but the famed Barrel of Crops enticed me. Seems like my odds of receiving a flaming bag of real crap on my doorstep from a dancing monkey are greater than the odds of me receiving a Woot! Barrel of Crops.

Perhaps this is what they were preparing for with all that website down time yesterday. The website now stays up but the billing part gets a little overwhelmed. I wish they'd do something about those pesky robots that automatically buy bags of crap. Humans can't compete with them.

Their payment processing is broken. All orders are denied after about 3 minutes if you go back and check the order status. If you check your online banking, there was no attempted charge -- the orders aren't going through because they can't charge any credit cards, it's timing out on their end somewhere.
