I was getting ready to guess that when they entered the number available, someone entered an extra 0, making the usual ~1500 into 15000. I imagine that Woot will chime in at some point with an explanation but right now there probably aren't too many people in the office and they're probably working to get the mistake rectified.

I had a temper tantrum.
And then I ate dinner.
I received and email saying I GOT THE BAG OF C-R-A-P
Yet I never got a page that said I did! YIPPEEE sorry guys who didn't but check your emails!!

Epic Fail again, after being rejected this week from my top three college choices with a 3.5 gpa what else is new. Left hanging on the "buy" screen only to be denied 20 minutes later. "Being Ostracized by Colleges" fail is just a metaphor for my pathetic life

Someone made a good point in reference to new commandment #2: II. Thou shalt probably expect not to even get a Bag o’ Crap at all. We only have enough for about 10% of the people who want them. Thou art probably in that other 90%.
And that's black and white at first, but after seeing this fiasco of an ordering process... Was it intended? If so, it's more mean than fun....

Those of you who have never gotten a bag before and are lusting after one, after having heard the stories and seen the videos...don't. Seriously. You will never be that person. Years ago, back in the first bags, I nearly got one and then said "Why would I want to pay real money for random junk?" and turned away. Years later I tried and got one. It had a Mr. T. LP and a camera holder. Then couldn't get one for years. I got one last christmas. It had a bag with a flower on it and a couple of t-shirts that wouldn't fit me.
I know I'm not alone here. It really isn't worth the stress. Many of us are old addicts. You don't have to be. Woot used to be a very different place. We used to buy things to move the woot-off along to help each other, and congradulate each other for getting bags.

Ok, I've only gotten one in the past, and, yes, it was crap, but it was surprise crap. Surprise crap is always better than no crap. (actually, now that I think about it... in anotheer context, surprise crap would actually be really bad.)
Seconded!
And, can I just say? I kind of hate when people complain about shirts that don't fit or random shirts they don't like. There's all kinds of great stuff you can do with them. And if you're not handy with scissors and thread (pillow, bag, shirt for your dog, etc), you can donate them or gift them to relatives or friends (or their kids). Really. There's no such thing as a useless shirt.

Woot doesn't accept PayPal eCheck payments. These are transfers from a linked bank account. They don't accept them because the transfer can fail, leaving you with no payment for that order days later.
Woot does accept PayPal payments funded by any other method, including a linked credit/check card. Nobody said otherwise.
I use PayPal with a linked bank account on my other woot account. PayPal only has my debit card number as a back-up funding source but not as the primary one. I don't know if that matters, but I thought I'd toss it in there. I used that PayPal account funded by bank transfer successfully on woot this morning.

Thanks, TT. That makes sense, but it still kind of hurts. ; ) I vote we take it out and teach it a lesson about playing with crap sacks...

Sigh... Thanks, TT. I'm glad it wasn't some cruel prank at least. Now I can have peace.
