This is pretty cool since it has the Android Market. (Google Play)

If only it had better than Android 2.3 on it.

Is this capacitive touch? Definitely getting a few for the kids if so. Add the Market and it becomes a nice little game machine.

If we keep letting the Androids power everything, they are bound to go bad eventually! Did nobody see Aliens?!

I don't want "Philips Songbird" proprietary software... I just want to drag and drop my music files through Windows. Is that too much to ask?

I'm sorry but I will never buy another Philips product again after several breakdowns and the amount of Philips refurbs on here. What bloody Hhell is this?

Why is there such a LAG between Wootalyzer displaying the next woot and woot site updating to the next woot. Wootalyzer is usually much quicker (~30 seconds) than F5'ng in the browser.

Does this affect scoring a Bunnies Ogling Carrots As if wootalyzer is jumping the gun b4 the site causing a lock-out?

Great for kids to young for an actual cellphone and parents to cheap for an iPod Touch.

We only have to worry about that if the Androids were the A-2 model.

Here before the WootBot was.

Weak. 480x320 screen, poor viewing angle, limited to Android 2.3.

not familiar with this product, but on my android phone I have the amazon cloud player app. love it. syncs all music purchases from amazon automatically, and can store up to 5Gb of your own music on the cloud drive for free.

$156 on Amazon

Biggest complaint seems to be the battery life, which is only rated at 4 hours for video playback.

wootlyzer runs off the rss feeds which come before the site updates

thanks for your comments on this device.
I don't trust Philips either.
and for the size & features I wouldn't pay more then 50 since I can buy a cell phone for 99 NIB.
and put a 32gb card in it.

I so miss the good old woot days.

Not all of us want to pay a gazillion dollars for a data plan, so we stick to cell phones that are just phones. Also - *gasp* - there are some people who don't feel the need to even have a cell phone. So yes, there is still a market for items such as these. No, you don't need one if you have a phone that streams video, plays music and irons your clothes for you.

Bought this for $89.99 off Woot a month or so ago. So far not very impressed. Slow performance and poor battery life. Would not recommend even at 90 bucks, maybe around 70.

Edit: I got the 8 gig but still... not impressed

Bought the 8 gig version of this for my son (16 years old)from Woot a few months back. He loves it, like it in fact much better than the iPod Touch it replaced.

Just bought this one for my daughter's birthday coming up.

EDIT: get this and a Spotify subscription and you have a vast catalog of music at your beck and call.

Yes, it apparently is. I don't know how apple managed to get the masses to accept the takeover of their music library, but that was the beginning of the end of sensible music transfer.

What a weird woot off. First no comments, happening 2 days after the last one, and 2 bags? At least this media player gets things back on track to a "normal" woot off. Good old familiar media player..makes you feel at home.
