I bought 3 of these and never got to use them since it only snowed once, before I bought them. And I live in the Northeast!

these things are awesome. every since i broke my leg by falling on the ice (wasn't wearing them at the time), i won't go out in snow or ice without them.

Can I put these on my gloves, too, so I can climb a building like Spider-Man?

These work great! I bought these in a woot off a few months ago and it hasn't snowed since!

These are extremely good at maintaining traction here in southern California when there's a thick layer of sunshine on the ground. I never slipped once!

Got these the last time. Used my pair this morning on the ice rink we affectionately call my employer's parking lot. Worked great!

Global Warming has made these impractical. I blame Al Gore.

These are great out on the ice and packed snow. I was surprised at how much of my effort (without them) was spent on not slipping.

But - when I'm getting ready to go out (or having just come in) and I'm on the polished concrete of the basement floor: I've almost slipped a few times.

Bought these the last woot-off and haven't used them...next year maybe. We barely had any snow this winter in new england.

I bought these last time and then found out they wouldn't work on my size 15s. Heh heh

While wearing these I can run around in circles pulling my kid in a saucer sled on our ice covered driveway. I haven't slipped yet.

No. Most of the reviews on Amazon say for light use. Perfect for the one time a year it ices here in Oklahoma. Not so perfect for hiking.

we bought these for the entire family a few years ago. They are great! After I busted my knee slipping on the ice 7 years ago, I was very scared of walking on icy sidewalks. Not anymore. I put these on my shoes and I'm good, even on a decent layer of ice. I recommend them for everyone that lives in a place that gets icy and snowy weather. You do have to replace them every couple of years, the metal part on the bottom can rust. And do NOT wear them inside on a tile floor or you will slip.

Drat. These would have been perfect for the freak spring snowstorm we had here in the Portland area today. Why oh why didn't I already have these?
