Bought these last woot-off. Great clarity and very easy to personalize each handset.

Chillax. Eat some fruit. Take a dump. You'll feel better. I promise.

Bought these for my parents about a year ago off woot and they're absolutely garbo. They echo like crazy, the answering machine doesn't work anymore, and they sound like crap in general.

I personally have never had a good experience with Uniden Cordless Phones. Panasonic is the brand to go with for your home cordless phone system.

IMHO

This is why you guys shouldn't complain about woots. They give us more crap.

I've got two uniden phones.

they are different from each other...
and both are different from these...

but they've been very reliable and I'm quite pleased.

Me. My Android phone is cordless.

SOMEONE has to keep the cadmium mines in operation... and for that, someone must use their product. I still use a cordless phone (sometimes) at home, but also have quite an array of corded options - even a rotary dial phone with a REAL RINGER that'll wake you up if someone calls!

I'd like something like this that has a LiPo or better battery (1 cell - won't go out of balance etc). my current SONY from 2001 at least has NiMh...

1 Woot off light (no mOnkey), 3 USB Disco Balls, 1 Woot-off lights with Screaming Monkey, 1 Ultimate Bacon Lover's Gift Pack, 1 Soyo Freestyler A2DP headset, 3 Bannisters, Oblong, Curved!, 2 Motorola H500 Blootuth headsets, 1 RCA M2030 512mb MP3 player, 2 RCA 4GB MP3 players

Touché, so is mine. I take back my complaint. What version of Android do these run?

Come on Woot!! Stop giving us moderately useful, boring crap! We want entirely useless, exciting crap!!! Bandoleer Of Carrots!!!

Ok, I believe you. But my Tommy gun don't!

I don't have the whole "system" but i do just have the one base and phone, and it works great. Plus I love the manly voice on the default answering message.

News flash, folks, not everyone has dropped their landline. We got these on a previous woot, and they work awesome: much, much better than our previous cordless phone 'system'.

We don't use the answering machine though. That *is* a little dated

I shot the sheriff, but I didn't kill the Woot! off - no, that was done by some crappy cordless phones.

Ok, I believe you. But my Tommy gun don't!

Most of the cordless phones that I've bought have been Uniden, and overall happy with them. The shortest life span I've had is 4-5 years with one set, and the woot refurb set from 3 years ago is still fine.

By the way, I not only still have a corded phone, but (even worse), a stand alone digital answering machine (and yes, I have a cell phone--with a really cheap plan).

I haven't had a home phone in almost a year. Telemarketers and the Police Benevolent Association are the two reasons I got rid of it. They were the only ones who called me at home. Now they don't.

These make a fantastic intercom system for your doublewide. Mount one in each room and you can easily give updates to each other on which direction the tornado is heading.

I keep a landline. I am on the gulf coast, last 2 hurricanes freaking cells phones didn't work for 2 days or more to many people making "R U OK" calls and then FEMA took over the towers to make a network, thanks FEMA.

Landline stayed on solid throughout the hurricane and for the 7 days without power following.

$20 a month, I am keeping it. Hate to pay it, but its a must.

Um, ditto. Well, almost--my answering machine is analog with leetle cassette tapes in it. It's worked since 1984 and I've only changed the tapes out twice. Maybe the next Woot could be micro tapes....

Marketing surveys and political crap still get through on my cell phone and I've been on the do not call for years. Nobody is safe

I wish you good luck,if you need 911 and your on your cell, and can't talk, its going to be awhile until they locate you by the ping of your cell phone.I have a cell, and landline, just in case.
