I ordered one of these from QVC last year & sent it back. There are probably tons of refurbs out there. The reviews were awful, mostly because the plastic pieces that come with it to attach to the window don't fit together. It should have been easy but after hours of trying I decided it was going back and about 1/3 of the people that bought them seemed to have done the same. And loading it back in the box for return is really fun...NOT. So if you get one be very careful how you cut the box open in case you have to sell it on ebay! I'd sweat out the entire summer before getting one of these again!

I think this would really be a great choice for cooling a garage. The cooling performance is appropriate for about 350 square feet of insulated structure in my area (Las Vegas).
