Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

My 4Runner is neither a car nor truck, so I can't answer the question. Woot fail, again.

Come on woot! where is the 'SUV' choice. Honda Pilot all the way!!

Buick LeSabre, but I am considering getting a motorcycle to save on gas, even though it would be a step down on the cool meter.

Also, SUVs are usually considered trucks. However it depends on the basic frame they are built from. Some light duty ones are built on car frames. So really the classification is based on the frame.

As has been said you left out some options, ie all of the above. Depends on where I'm going, how many are going with me, and what I/we are doing. Don't understand myself how people get by with just one vehicle.

1982 Chevy C10, currently being upgraded from the stock 305 to a custom built 350. Ironically, I'll end up with slightly better gas mileage as the 305 was woefully underpowered for that beast of a truck.

I also have a Honda Passport (aka Isuzu Rodeo) with the all-too-common bottom end knock, it will also be receiving a heart transplant as soon as I'm done paying for the truck's new engine.

I used to drive a Mustang GT, but got too many tickets in it. So, now it's a Ford F150 4x4. I always have a motorcycle or two in the garage.
Sometimes I feel the need for speed.

It falls under the "car" option.

I'm choosing "truck" for my Ford Escape Hybrid. Love the 40-44 average MPG I get driving my baby!

I drive my husband crazy and insane. It isn't a long drive, as we have been married for 7 years.

I haven't driven in about 1 1/2 years, and I don't miss it. But when I did drive, I had a Jeep. I made my husband buy a SUV with heated seats when I sold my Jeep. We also own a car (Hyundai Elantra), a truck (Toyota Tundra), a motorcycle (Yamaha Stratoliner), a Seadoo (we live on the river), and 2 Giant mountain bikes.

My CR-V does not fit in to any of those catagories. :-( This makes me slightly sad. And it also reminds me that I want a big truck...that also makes me sad. Good job, Woot!

98 Toyota Sienna.
I still see other old Sienna's on the road every day. Around here, before the economy crashed, lots of leases, so an older car was not the norm.

Great minivan. Seats are extremely comfortable.
Only complaint when it was new was, the back windows didn't open.

I can take all the seats out and make it a cargo van, which we did to get the kids to college. We still take them out a few times a year.

Gas milage, not so great. 16mpg doesn't seem to matter, city or highway.

This year we had to put a ton of money into it. We need to decide if we should keep it, or finally get rid of it.
I guess we should have thought about that before putting all that money into repairs. Oh well.

My problem is, I'm a little leery of the Toyota Japanese issue of "saving face". Corporate's tendency to keep problems a secret. The American division of the company should really have a talk with the Japanese parent division. If there is a recall, and it is fixed, americans forget all about it. If you lie, it makes us very uncomfortable.

Here they have a customer who absolutely loves her car, yet I am leery about buying a new Toyota.

WE LURV YOU TOO! Dork!!!

I drive the Shag Wagon. (2011 Forrester, Blue)

Literally, we call it the Shag Wagon. My wife told me she wanted to adopt a dog, and we ended up adopting a retired Greyhound racer by the name of "Shall We Shag". The only objection I could think of as to why we wouldn't adopt an 80 lb dog is we didn't have a car that could haul an 80 lb dog AND still have room to carry people and/or camping gear.

So, she told me to go buy a new car that would work for a greyhound.

And thus the Shag Wagon came into existence.

And I drive either of 2 hybrids, Prius or Camry (Both average over 40MPG). Yes, they are cars, just like pick-ups, mini-vans and SUVs are trucks, despite the hype to the contrary. (Hell, the only thing "sport" about a huge SUV is the name)

If your SUV is built on a car platform frame, is it still a truck?
