Received it today! YAY! Setup is a breeze!

Received mine yesterday and charged it up. After that, setup took no time and I spent about 2 hours just playing around with it. I love, love, love it!!!! It's a refurb, but it looked like it had been untouched by human hands when I got it...looked absolutely brand new. I did buy the warranty just in case. The folio that came with it is very nice as well and comes in very handy when you want to just set it up to watch a video or something, besides the protection it gives. Am very, very pleased with my purchase!! Have fun everyone!!

Is it to be expected to have scratches all over the tablet? Mine is in not so great shape with several small scratches and other bumps and bruises. Also had to pop part of the casing back in after it came in slightly cracked open.

Just got mine today, it is still charging but setup was a breeze. 2 updates and now it has 3.2, and it seems to be running smoothly. For the person who asked, there is no stylus included. I have just tried to mount a microsd card, and it doesn't seem to be working. Hopefully it is just a format issue. I also tested calling out with skype and it worked perfectly (I haven't tried video chat yet though).

Oh. Only blemish I've noticed is a small scratch on the back, otherwise it looks new.

Received mine today, have it on the charger and updating as I type this.

Looks great, clean no visible scratches and anxiously waiting the full charge so I can fiddle with it tonight!!!!

Vtab is fully charged after a little over 6 hours. The video quality on skype is not very good.

I don't know if it has been mentioned on here yet, but after the update the hardware buttons are no longer usable, and are replaced by an on-screen button row.

I like it, but the screen isn't as good as the Nook Color or Kindle Fire, and, boy, this thing really does get HOT. I'm not sure if it gets hot due to the backlight or the CPU usage or both, but it does get hot.

For the price, though, I have no meaningful complaints. It was a good deal to see the latest "tablet" version of Android (pre-Ice Cream Sandwich) in action.

For what it's worth, I don't see the disadvantages of the automatic update (I believe to Gingerbread). When I first turned it on, the unit did crash, but after the update to the latest firmware, it works fine.

I think the IR transmitter is on the bottom of the unit, next to the microSD card slot. I find this weird since they really want you to use the Universal Remote feature of this tablet.

Which hardware buttons are you referring to?

After I updated to honeycomb, the 3 off-screen backlit buttons (for both landscape and vertical) disappeared and on screen I now have the back and home buttons on an on-screen row along with the clock and battery status at the bottom of the screen. It isn't a huge issue to me, but seems like a small waste of usable screen.

Did anyone else get one that was banged up and broken? I ordered 2, 1 is alright, but the 2nd one has been dropped on lower left and both upper corners, headphone jack is busted, and screen is popping up in lower right. It's nice, shiny, clean, and plastic wrapped though. How this was allowed to be sent out though I must wonder....

Got mine Saturday. One seems slow to charge, but it was down to the last few minutes of battery time; the other was at about a 50% charge and has seemed OK so far.

Note that the XDA hacking community has for the most part left this tablet behind. They're keeping an eye on developments per their posts there (linked on the second page of this thread here if you're curious), but for the time being they recommend taking Vizio's updates even though those will block any possibility of hacking. The consensus is that the upgrade to Honeycomb solves the problems this had in its Gingerbread version.

Hi, this is probably a stupid question, but WHERE ON EARTH CAN I GET MAC DRIVERS FOR THIS THING? I'm on the phone with some guy who's never touched a mac before and though they make mac drivers they can't tell me where to get them. HALP PLZ!!

We're pretty happy with ours - boyfriend and I each got one. Each one had a few superficial scratches, but nothing terrible. The folio case is very nice, too!

I would like to see some other case options, but I haven't found much of anything. That's one nice thing about the stupid iPad - there are a bajillion case options.

It should theoretically show up as a generic USB mass storage device. That said, since I did the OTA update, Windows doesn't see it, either.

You might have an easier time just popping out the MicroSD card when you want to copy stuff to it.

Long time buyer, first post. I received mine last night as well. Having bought many refurbs before, I sort of knew what to expect. Or did I?

Scratches on the screen deep enough to catch your nail. It wasn't banged up or heavily nicked/pitted but at least get the screen right.

Asked for an RMA. It was too much.

I hope the rest of you got better units than I did.

Got mine last night, and I LOVE it - EXCEPT can't seem to get the external speakers to work! Works with headphones, but no external audio - anyone else have this problem? The rest of it seems to be in great shape - no scratches or dents or anything. It upgraded to 3.2 relatively quickly, the remote feature is really cool & the screen is sharp - good interface too. Anyway, obviously I'm going to send it back if I can't get the external speakers to work, but since the rest of it's in good shape, I was hoping you guys could fill me in on some trick I was missing. Anyone?

Glad SOMEONE got theirs. I received a shipment today of an empty box. Wait...not completely empty, it DID have two plastic air bag cushion thingies in it. First ever purchase from Woot, can't say I am pleased. I could tell it was empty before I opened it, not sure why that wasn't caught in shipping. It obviously had not been tampered with, so it must have left the warehouse empty. I did email the service address, but having no experience with Woot purchases before, I'm skeptical about how much of a PITA this is going to be to get resolved.

I received mine today. Physically it looked good, but the microUSB port is so loose that it won't maintain a connection to charge the device. It also says that it has a damaged SD card (system notice).

Emailed service@woot to resolve said issues.

I find Vizio's warranty to be a joke here. I guess in the end I'll likely end up with a return...guess we'll see. To "recertify" someone with the headphone jack busted up and the screen popping up on one corner is ridiculous. But to take it a step further and refuse to stand behind your warranty?! I'll likely not be buying anymore Vizio products in the future.

I bought this to see if I would use a tablet, and if I liked them I was going to get a better one. For that, it is good. It does about everything you would expect. The only issue I have is that it won't charge if I am using it, it will just discharge more slowly. I think when I get a ICS tablet I will modify an inductive charger to fit this one and use it as a fancy remote.

Still single, can't imagine why.

I had the same issue, I noticed when I set the notification volume it made sounds but no multimedia sound would work. I looked closer and the headphone jack is physically damaged. They sent me a broken tablet!

OPENED IT NEW FROM THE UNDAMAGED PACKAGE, MULTIMEDIA AUDIO WAS NOT WORKING. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION THE HEADPHONE PORT LOOKED BROKEN. I DID NOT DO THIS, I RECEIVED IT YESTERDAY CHARGED AND TURNED IT ON. AFTER TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO TWO DIFFERENT VIZIO CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGERS THAT IT WAS BROKEN IN AN UNDAMAGED SEALED PACKAGE THEY STILL ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY SINCE ITS PHYSICAL DAMAGE. THEY REFER ME BACK TO WOOT FOR AN EXCHANGE. IT'S NOT WOOTS FAULT, NOT FAIR VIZIO! I GUESS I HAVE TO RETURN TO WOOT EVEN THOUGH IT'S OBVIOUSLY A FAULTY RECERTIFICATION ON VIZIOS PART AND THERE IS NO WAY WOOT COULD HAVE KNOWN. I'M LESS THAN IMPRESSED WITH VIZIO AT THIS POINT AND WOULD GO OUT OF MY WAY TO SEEK OTHER BRANDS. WISHING I NEVER PURCHASED ANY OF THIER TELEVISIONS AND WILL NO LONGER DO SO DUE TO THIER INABILITY TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR SOMETHING THAT IS CLEARLY THIER FAULT.

Check in the upper corner within the play store. You should find the a button up there that allows you to see your apps.

Updated mine to 3.2 now it won't stay on. It randomly goes to black screen or asks over and over if I want to shut down. Doesn't matter what app I'm in, it's done it in all of them. I even set it down to answer a phone call and started doing the pop ups for shutting down like someone is pushing the power button on and off repeatedly.

Video showing what it does..

I received the tablet yesterday. After playing with it for a few minutes I noticed a few bright pixels in the screen and immediately contacted Vizio. They have been a peach to work with. Within the hour I was approved for a replacement unit and this morning I got a tracking number for my new unit. As far as the tablet goes, I've mostly had a great experience with it so far. I was expecting it to be more laggy than it is with the processor that it has. I've been mostly impressed with its performance. The upgrade to honeycomb went smoothly. I enjoy the sound with the speakers. This is my first tablet and I'm enjoying it so far.

I had posted about an issue with the usb port.

I contacted Woot and they have no units to replace my faulty one with, but our purchase came with a warranty. I contacted Vizio customer support and will have a new (recertified) tablet in the mail in 7-10 days.

Had to send them pictures of the ports to show that it wasn't damaged in shipping (which is wasn't).

I got 3 of em today and 1 does not stay connected to wireless long enough to update when it gets to 5% it drops. The back seems a little loose on the unit as well. The other two updated okay but one has a big old scratch on the front screen, a little disappointed at the moment.

I had the same experience. Even had the service manager speechless. I pointed out that they are the one who recertified the items, and that they were happy to throw broken stuff in a box, "recertify it" good, and then screw over the customer by dumping it through a reseller. "So what you're saying is you're fine with selling broken crap." "That's not what I'm saying, what I'm saying is that our warranty doesn't cover manufacturing damage." "Um...you're the ones that packaged it and recertified it...so...you have an interesting definition of what is a manufacturing issue since you have actually examined the item and still decided to sell it broken." This is just the demonstration of the corporate culture you need from a company to decide whether they are worthy of your business or not. Vizio has made it clear they are a "pump and dump" business. They don't care whether their stuff works or not and their warranty is not worth the bits that are used to transfer it across the wire because they even are willing to abdicate responsibility for "manufacturing defects" on new items and tell you "return it where you bought it." They are a company unworthy of anyones business...really shady, and one I will be unlikely to ever buy another product from.

Mine came in on Monday, and based off some of the comments here, looks like I got lucky. My tablet looks brand new. I haven't put in an SD card yet or tried to connect it to my computer, so I can't comment on that, but everything seems to be working well. It can be a little slow, but I mean, I bought a cheap tablet so my expectations weren't super high. It works, so I'm happy.

Got mine yesterday. Did all the updates it asked for and it went well. The USB cable seems loose in the connector but the connector itself seems to be ok. Would have been nice if they provided a longer USB cable for charging. For some reason the Geovision software keeps crashing on me and I can't see live video on my Axis server using the web browser. It crashed on me today and would not turn back on. Flipping through the quick start guide was no help and the user manual on the tablet was useless since I couldn't access it. I figured it out and it's working fine now. The TV remote software works very well and I think I may use this as my new TV remote. The only other complaint I have is it gets hot and the screen makes a creaking noise when holding the tablet on the edge.

Got mine a couple days ago, unfortunately will need a replacement. The unit shuts down when the battery level approaches 50%, and the battery drains constantly (even with BT & GPS disabled & no other apps running). Now when I try to turn it on the screen flashes white lights, then shuts down.

Really makes me wonder if Vizio even looked at these things before making them available for sale again.
