Thanks. Too early. Eyes weren't working right. I see it now. The second line of text. DUH.

Interesting. We have several hundred of the T and the L series deployed to the field. There are no "fan noise" issues. Lenovo support is some of the best in the business. BUT, they're support website is one of the worst in the business.
Speaking from personal experience here.
After 10 months of "no solution", that's pretty poor. Either way the product is going end of life soon.

Well, I do see one error in the feature description. This does not have a 15" LED display, it is a LED "backlit" LCD display. There is a HUGE difference between the two.
Vizio 32” 720p LCD HDTV (2 of them), Seagate 750GB SATA/300 7200RPM Hard Drive, SiliconDust HDHomeRun Dual Digital HDTV Tuner, Kodak Theater HD Player, Acer Aspire One 10.1” Netbook, Philips Prestigo 8-Device Universal Remote, Asus Eee PC 900 Netbook with 1.6GHz Atom Processor, Philips Upconverting DVD Player with DivX and HDMI, Ashley Rock Axe Full Size Rockband and Guitar Hero Controller for PS2 and PS3, Philips Icon 5 Device Universal Remote, and a bunch of other carp.

I'm so tempted. My wife is entering graduate school this summer and I was going to surprise her with a laptop anyhow. I've been looking at this Toshiba for $730 (http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Port%C3%A9g%C3%A9-R835-P94-13-3-Inch-Magnesium/dp/B006YL1AMG/) which is on the outside edge of my budget. At least with this Thinkpad I could still afford to get her some accessories she'll need and maybe drop the extra ram in it. Can anyone confirm that I *can* put another stick of ram in without problems?
If you were going to graduate school, which one would you rather have?
Well parents are the same no matter time nor place / So to you other kids all across the land / Take it from me / Parents just don't understand
